Hi Natasha! I don’t think you are complicating things or over explaining. You my dear are just very thorough with your explanations and demonstrations. And I personally think that’s fantastic! I love that. And I rather have explanation like yours rather than having something explained half way or without all the possibilities. Less questioning and second guessing that way. You are an excellent teacher of your craft. I dig this newspaper look. I’m definitely going to make a journal using it. And all those cute pockets and those wonky envelopes are just too sweet. Thanks Natasha! Enjoyed the video! Watched it twice! Some parts three times!! ❤️💜💚

What amazes me more than your creativity sometimes is your ability to reproduce a brilliant idea and tweak it to a whole new idea, again and again. We all have good ideas once in a while, but to work out an idea to a system, reproduce it, evolve it- and the consistency of you showing up with more, and more, and yet more... I'm in awe.

I loved all these ideas! Idea number 3... “SLEEVE” comes to mind for a name, it holds the journal. Does a sleeve have a bottom.🤔 who knows? Who cares?! 😂 I love all the uses for news paper! I found an old one in my stash, and have been cutting from it, doubt I have a full page left. If I do, I am making something from it! Going to honor the newspaper. My dad threw a paper when we were kids, I remember helping fold papers in the summer. We had a paper boy, his name was Ruben( his socks didn’t match) he would come collect for the paper, and give us a little ticket receipt. What a fun piece of ephemera that would be to find!! TREASURE😊 that is one thing I love about your channel Natasha, not only do you INSPIRE, but you spark GOOD MEMORIES!💕🤗

What a wonderful introduction/presentation ! The sounds of the paper, the beauty of the charms, beads, threads, lace EVERYTHING. I haven't even watched the whole video I stopped at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="118">1:58</a> its so mesmerizing. We all have stuff on our minds ,problems that need solving, issues that plague our thoughts but whenever I watch one of your videos. All those annoying thoughts go away & I am filled with joy & I get a real good feeling. Maybe this is sick but that me .Who would of thought I'd get so elated watching these beautiful cards/inserts being placed inside pockets????Now I'm going back to watching the rest of the wonderful video. May God continue to bless your Gift.

I love the origami wallet fold. I hadn't considered binding multiples together. I have used it by making one and stitching a small signature into the spine so I have a notebook w/ extra pockets. I also make a blizzard book and slide the first and last flaps into inner the pockets of a wallet fold so it becomes a book cover. Other thing I do is to make one, fill it with journal cards and tags, and stick it into a pocket in a handmade mini album. This thing so so versatile.

You’re doing a great job of the explaining about the washi tape addition. Sometimes I find it so hard to verbalize what my hands can do,,,, . And if we are all inspired to try it, that’s a win for all of us. I’m actually thinking of doing this origami folded wallet look with a double layer of fabric that’s been adhesived together. I have a boat load of fabrics that would be fun to use. Great tutorial and I’m only on the first idea ! ! ! 🥰

I love this idea so much! I’m kind of like you, I don’t like really touching newspaper, plus it gets that black ink on my fingers! So what popped into my mind is using the paper that newspapers are made of. Without investigating further, I decided to use the paper that is used for packing delicate items when you move. I have a bunch left over from my last move, which was 15 years ago!, You just never know when it’s going to be needed, right?! That’s what my sister told me anyway, maybe I’ll give her a special envelope! Thanks again for all the suggestions - - I love it!

VIP,,, I just found out that if you iron the newspaper first it will set the inks and dyes and you won’t get it all over you. Just protect iron and ironing board to be on the safe side. My friend actually said, That’s why butler’s always ironed the newspaper before the man of the house read it…. Interesting tidbit of info

Thanks, Natasa! Hope you had a great vacation! These are fun ideas! I like the pocket book and the pouches best, so perhpas will try a couple if I can find an old newspaper (I don't read the papers!). One tip I have learned: when preparing to sew signatures (or in this case pockets) to a cover, I hold them all in place with paper clips while I punch holes and sew. Makes it easier to keep everything aligned!

While watching Natasa’s videos I compiled so many notes/prototypes that I decided to create a dedicated journal to put all those printed notes and samples into. If I ever have (when I retire) my own KZbin channel, I’ll hire somebody from my family to produce dramatic intros like in Natasa’s. Video pieces of art - intriguing and lovely. An expanding pouch (<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="2309">38:29</a>) and Wonky Envelopes (<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="525">8:45</a>) are two of my favorites. Will watch this again and again. I am almost 82 so it takes me a while to digest and file it in my mind. Thanks for all the fun and creativity packed into this video. I know how inky newspaper can be to work with but what is soap for when you’re creating something this fun. I loved each special project but gasped when you introduced the expanded pockets ❤

Yes thank you! I've been wanting to save my newspaper and incorporate it into my paper crafting but didn't know how exactly to do that. So your video is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much!

Lovely, especially the first one and idea #4. Todays Quote:“Kindness is our very own pixie fairy dust, it gives people the ability to soar and not just fly." Happy National Watercolor Month. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞Video shared.

I loved this video! I especially enjoyed the pocket book! I intend to try that one very soon - I have soooooooooo much scrapbooking and cardmaking paper and I love stamping my own, as well, so I intend to mix and match any newspaper with other, pretty paper! I am so glad I discovered your channel! You've inspired me more than most other channels so much! (I suspect you live in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia, too - I currently live in the UK, but it's always lovely to spot an AFL image in a video, however fleeting!) Thank you, Natasha! ~M x

Another mind blowing project! Who knew newspapers could be a thing of beauty instead of a bearer of bad news! Natasa could you do a diagram of the folds on a piece of paper, like you do in some of the other videos? I’m trying to follow along and remember, but my aging brain isn’t keeping up😊. Thanks
