In this singing lesson, Camille van Niekerk will show you how to find your natural singing voice. She will go over this with you by showing you an easy exercise.
The exercise is to say "No, no, no," as if you were telling a child not to do something. It's very easy and simple, and by doing this you're using your natural voice but in a sing-song way.
To go along with this, you'll also practice an exercise that targets your head voice, which is that higher singing voice. Check out the lesson and subscribe for more!
0:00 Introduction
0:11 Start with your speaking voice.
1:56 Use a relaxed hum and open it up to a vowel.
4:06 Find areas of tension, pain, tightness, or stuckness in your body and relax
5:12 Listen to singers you can easily sing along with
6:16 Continue to grow your skills and knowledge of the voice

For step #3, tightness and tension, I have a lot of reservations about body image so for years I've been unconsciously tightening my stomach to make it look flatter. Do you know of any exercises to help relax the stomach muscles and open room for more stomach-y singing?

So... I tried the headvoice and I am quite untrained but I could go up to around F5 without much trouble, but it is still very difficult to find the Sensation of it... also I can hit C6 in upper register or falsetto but it is really difficult and I think I am a male alto more than anything else cause my speaking voice sits around f3 on average though I tried depressing my larynx to Sound lower for years but I like a3-c4 also in speech and sometimes if I'm excited when I talk in a singing/mixed-chest it goes all the way to eb4 and above lol

@@30DaySinger Thank you for the motivation, I will defo try Improving, my highest ever heady note was Ab5, though I do not think that is really usable if I am honest 😆, also it is harder for me to access headvoice than my very dramatic and low tenor and bass-baritone voice teacher (he is good at everything somehow...).Well, at least I got some homework to do now... Getting high to F5 in head for me must feel a bit akin to a bass using his mixed voice for an F4 maybe, not sure if that is true as I am not a bass (how I wish I would be, I envy Kurt Moll and the like, but at least I have the equivalent so it is maybe not waaay too far off lol), also using that smokey, dark and tenoral sounding lower chest down to a A2 or D3 is always a funny thing to do with my voice, so I have to give myself a little motivation to practice my upper range too 😀 Also this is an important difference to the contratenors of today? Sadly they use falsetto and no chest or mix, but I really like the unique flutey sound of Deller and Scholl and ngl it must be very hard to sing like that if your full chest extends to the lower bass notes below the clef 😆 🤣 😂

well.. so I have no problems singing in head voice, no matter if low or high.... But my Chet voice.. ughhh Tension, very little control and even less range :/ And no clue where to start😅

No lol you can actually learn how to sing you can learn how to sing really good if you put the work in. Several people in my family could not sing to save there life but they’ve all learned in church and now they can all sing with no efforts. I’m just now learning at the age of 18 and I already have improvements and I absolutely could not sing for shit
