I really like how you explain things and encourage us to keep things simple. I hope you will be making more videos as I haven't seen any in your video list for maybe 1+ years. I'm not sure if you are in Uganda or still in USA but of course I understand that Covid changed a whole lot of things for us all. God bless.

I did a no-buy 2019, a low-buy 2020 and am doing a no-buy 2021. It has really changed my thinking around things, spending, shopping, etc. I have been working towards minimalism for many years and that has included my schedule, my commitments, my home and my content consumption.

I am always so excited to see a new video from you, Joy! You have such a sweet gentleness and such a big heart that is so inspiring. I have found that taking the time to thank God daily for things we may otherwise take for granted - indoor plumbing, my husband's job, electricity, etc - really shifts the focus back to how much we already have instead of focusing on the things we want. Additionally, removing apps from my phone (specifically FB and IG) and unsubscribing from email lists (those ads can be so tempting sometimes!) helps me to stay content living simply. I have also been reading and writing down scripture on contentment which is one of the most encouraging things of all. Thank you for being an encourager and for sharing those recipes! ❤️

Our family is in full-time ministry, and one way we've chose to live more simply was to downsize from our 3,000sf home for our now 960sf shipping container home. We love it. We only have room for our favorite things, a limited wardrobe, and our books (the one area that I'm not a minimalist). I'm also looking forward to simplifying our menu. We just found out after dealing with food allergies with our youngest, that she can now safely try legumes and nuts again! I also want to mention that I loved your last video, and appreciate your insight for what helping can and should look like!

It's lovely to see your videos again Joy. I try to keep life simple by uninstalling apps on my phone (I'm looking at you Facebook!) and unsubscribing from email lists. They are small changes that really help to keep me on track:)

You are very refreshing on You Tube :-) Please do more. You have a beautiful spirit. What you say makes so much sense but it is so counter cultural on KZbin. We are constantly being told to buy more! Would you be able to do some more videos sharing the gospel. xxx

Thank you for sharing as always! I learn something from each video. This one spoke to my mom guilt. If I am tired during the day I feel so guilty if I lay down. I also have guilt over watching a KZbin video. Mom guilt is rarely talked about it seems.

So great to see you back on here, Joy! As for simple living, this has become very real for us in the last couple weeks as we have moved our family (homeschooling four kids) onto a sailboat full-time. Your meal suggestions are going to be so helpful for me since provisioning will be spotty. Caryn

I always love to see a video from you!! I found Kate awhile ago thanks to you and just love her channel. And I couldn’t eat cute rabbits either! But their poop does make great garden fertilizer so they can be useful.

I choose to live simply by 1) not chasing after the “next” thing and being content with what I have, and 2) by choosing family time over everything else. God laid it on my heart years ago that I will only have one childhood with each of my children, and I sure don’t want to waste it. Thank you for your practical tips. Here’s a question for you - I live in a very hot and humid climate. I have tried to have a very minimal wardrobe...but I can’t get away from underarm sweat stains.🙈 Any suggestions for how not to ruin clothes that you wear often in hot temperatures?!?

I'm curious what others say about this! What I have found is that the aluminum in deodorant is what stained my clothes. So I changed to a natural deodorant and no more stains! 🙌

I want to live simply, but I can't get rid of my clothes. Over the years I have collected over 100 garments for summer a lone. I have 47 skirts, I know it's a problem. I guess, I should store them away and use them up. We have too much stuff in general in the U.S. Do you ever feel that you don't have enough clothes? Do you ever feel weary wearing the same clothes? Just wondering, thanks for your videos.
