Wave +, streamlight macrostream, double sided blue sharpie. All 3 sit on my hip at work everyday and i use them many times throughout the day. Im a maintenance tech and the leatherman saves me having to walk back to the shop to grab tools incredibly often. The streamlight clips to my hat which is convenient as hell. I make leather edc organizers for your belt so having one tailored to those 3 tools has changed my life man. Also, all three are cheap enough to replace without too much heartache.

5 must haves……A small inexpensive very sharp single blade case pocket knife, a small nail clipper not for nails but cutting, a business card wrapped with 5 layers of wide blue tape, an aaa battery olight, a fisher space pen with the clicker button (blue ink)… thanks for the videos. Great job. I hope to get that alpaka tech bag one day

I don't go for too much color coordination. Flashlight is a must for seeing in dark areas or signaling in an emergency. Multitool is always on me as well as a small prytool with a 1/4" drive hole for a couple of driver bits. A flat Gerber rescue cutter w/ glass breaker, opens boxes & cuts straps easily. Sunglasses for glare/dust. Bandanna and a folded up grocery bag for many uses, you can even cut em up for making cordage. Any pen & a Sharpie for writing on any paper I keep in an Alocksak. Dude wipes/bandaids/chapstick/toothpics all handy. And all that in addition to my normal EDC most people carry i.e. wallet, keys, phone, a lighter. Girls always asking for rubberbands or nail clippers, sorry ladies I'm not carrying a purse. Go get.

For me it’s reylight pineapple brass, leather man rev, kaweco sports brass fountain pen and leather wallet by DasOffeneMeerLeather. Of course a phone with good camera and when possible carry my Fuji x100F with sling. I love brass and leather and sometimes it’s all about the feel good factor + functionality

So, I wear cargo pants/shorts by the daily. So I end up having a lot of stuff on me all the time. Things I have all the time past wallet/phone/keys, is a knife, water bottle clipped to the belt loop (or integrated hook on my pants), pen and marker, and 1 or 3 bandaids. Just yesterday I bought a flashlight, brand called Maximum. 1,000 lumen with 3 settings plus strobe and can focus the beam, rechargeable lithium battery. Its very bright, seems durable, but as of yet totally untested. Might return it if I dont like it.

I carry pepper spray and a knife at all times. If you don’t know how to use it then seek training. It’s better than being completely unarmed when your life is at risk. Too many Crazy people walking around attacking people these days to arm yourself with only a flashlight. It may not happen often where you live but all it takes is once….

Five items I can't live without? Handgun, pocket knife, flashlight, first aid kit, cigarette lighter (No I don't smoke). Additional items I carry: pliers, screwdriver/bit driver, small adjustable wrench (multi tools suck because you can only use one tool at a time which means you can't hold the back of a bolt and loosen a nut simultaneously). Edit: the first aid kit must include a tourniquet and nail clippers along with the basics.

Great video, but I disagree on the " knife" point, a knife in a no gun, hand to hand scenario, is a great force multiplier, and you donot need training to use a knife, if you are trained with knife that's great but you DONOT need training to use a knife, let the commonsense prevail

Knife isn't a good self defense tool? Even with zero training, hold tight, thrust and slash... Pretty easy and capable tool. No need to be a martial arts expert, although it's best to have training with anything and everything, it's easy to use and better than nothing. As for dropping it, that is indeed possible but if you keep your grip tight that probably won't happen. I'd say the downfall of a knife is if someone is unarmed and threatening you and you pull a knife and that doesn't scare them off, and then you thrust or slash, very bad possible legal consequences....
