In Italy you use young Borage leaves for omelettes, quiches, soups, fillings for pasta or spring rolls. You can do whatever you want with them, it's worth trying. Love your videos and your accent !

I'm not sure. I think I was on the phone with someone and they said something about planting in an egg shell. I looked it up on youtube, watched a video about it and then clicked randomly on one of your videos. You know what? I think I will plant a flower. Because now I know how to get the seeds and how to plant them. And I may also make myself a nice seed packet :D If I do I will show it on your facebook group!

I planted Nasturtiums once in my garden but get some back every year through self seeding. Great plants 😆
@thelegendofthedogfacedwoma37088 ай бұрын
I planted two plants. A white nasturtium and a dark burgundy/purple one. I now have nasturtiums everywhere, and they've crossbred and inbred so much that I have orange ones, red ones, these lovely papery musk-pink looking ones, rich wine coloured ones, and yellow with orange tongues. No sign of white or purple since the first two however. And they grow everywhere. They climb everything. They climbed a chickenwire fence taller than I am. They grew up between the timber of my deck, so I had a nasturium bush in the middle of wood. They're fantastic.

Really enjoyed watching this. It puts one in the mood for Spring. Fantastic photo at 5:58. I need some nasturtiums. I’ve never tried them before. I can’t say enough good things about marigolds. I’ve even used them to dye some wool yarn. So fun! Borage and lavender I treat with caution. In our zone given the right conditions they can dominate the other plants.To prevent a naturally occurring monoculture I keep them in containers. Right now the turf grass is peppered with purple, blue, and white wild violets. The local nurseries are bursting with Pansies. So cheerful. ☀️

Hi! I enjoy watching your videos, they are simple and clear. I had no idea that we can eat marigolds 😄 We used to call Pansies Dog Flowers I had asked you about the seasons in which we can grow certain fruits with a different account. Thanks for the answer. My tomato plant failed, maybe because the soil wasn't rich enough. But my neices and nephew bury all kinds of seeds. Their mango plant started growing and they're excited about it. It's really hard to keep them from watering it everyday. It's humid now a days so they need to water it much for now. Thanks for the videos. 👍

Just FYI: You see “marigolds” listed as edible flowers here and other places such as books, internet, etc, but in fact it’s the flowers of Calendula-not Tagetes-that make great additions to a summer dish. Flowers from Tagetes marigolds may be irritating to the skin, so I do not recommend ingesting them. Great video though, very informative as always.

@ProjectDiaries7 жыл бұрын
It was some time ago that I did this video but if I remember correctly All Pansies are Violas but not all Violas are Pansies. If the flower has four petals pointing upward and only one pointing downward you’re looking at a Pansy. If the flower has two petals pointing upward and three petals pointing downward you’ve got a Viola. Both Violas you mention are edible :)

it would be interesting to do a video on two flowers used by ayurvedists to make herbal (medicated) wines: dhai (woodfordia fructicosa) and mahua (madhuca longifolia) ... there may be other too and in other cultures similar flowers may exist ... these two are used as yeast inoculum for many ayurvedic wines ... i think so there is a third called priyangu (i do not know its binary name) which is sometimes used in ayurvedic wine making ... in india they make gulkand jam from roses used as a sweetener of paan (piper betel) preparation as also in preparing some herbal medicines
