Because this Guitar has a Shorter scale length you could actually tune this thing to Open G Terz Tuning (G, D, G, B, D, G) which would be like playing in Open E w/ a capo on the 3rd Fret so it's actually a "Terz Guitar" in Size.

if i tune my guitar to standard E tuning, then place the capo on the fourth fret, is that the same as open G tuning, thanks in advance.

How about Open E w/ a capo on the 3rd fret? That'll give you Open G w/ a High G
