En filmant Ejoe Wilson autour du parc de Belleville, on a découvert un homme spontané et charismatique, dont le visage s’illumine d’une joie enfantine dès qu'il se met à danser. Entre deux plans, il évoque son parcours avec sa voix suave. Ejoe a grandit dans le Bronx, l'un des boroughs les plus dangereux de New York, durant les années 70. Très vite, il s'est passionné pour le hip-hop, remportant quelques compétitions, avant de réaliser que la danse pourrait lui permettre de sortir du ghetto d’où il vient. Puis, il a un nouveau déclic en découvrant la house dance. La suite appartient à l’histoire.
