Ghosting someone is about the most childish thing you can do. It's stupid. Social media has made it acceptable to be rude to other's and treat other's like they are disposable. A lot of Guy's do this because they don't have the courage to tell the truth and they are immature. What happened to common courtesy and respect? Great advice here! I think above all it always comes down to knowing your own worth - which unfortunately many people don't and we LET people treat us a certain way because we somehow have more value over their ideas/feelings/values than our own. OF COURSE, (speaking as a woman), once we DO gain that confidence in our own value, the new challenge is finding men secure enough in themselves to not be intimidated by us.... sigh....there's always somethin', but thats why every person's just gotta be their best self, pursue their passions and enjoy people they meet with no expectations beyond basic respect and friendship. My thoughts.

This guy and I started talking January of last year, it went on for about 4 months and then he ghosted me and when we were talking, I was always the one to initiate the conversation!!!! I really started to like him and he made me think it was going to go somewhere and it didn't, but I'm glad I dodged that bullet. Now I look back and I'm glad it never went farther than it did!!!!

@@mariehoward6970 gaslighting is lying to get their way, rewriting history to make themselves look "right" or have bigger accomplishments than they actually did, and telling you that you're crazy or forgetful to make you start questioning yourself and reality. Doing these things, gaslighting, is a way to undermine your self confidence and self worth to the point that they become "the only person who is there for me." At that point they have control if your mind and you don't even realize it. My ex husband did this to me. I was a strong, confident, independent woman of 38 yrs old who was successful at "adulting." Within 3 yrs of getting married, even though I saw it all at first and called him out on his crap, he still eventually wore down my mind. After 5 yrs I was on the verge if suicide because of the abuse. I realized that instead of continuing to live with the abuse or killing myself, there was a 3rd option, to leave, so I did.

They are not complex. This is really simple. They want sex, attention and services from women. Sometimes they can't find a woman able to provide all these 3 so he gets multiple ones. They don't have feelings for you but still have physical urges and getting laid boosts their ego, like playing video games. They don't experience love and attachment like women unless he feels like she's high valuable property. Men need to get their pipes clean and feed on validation so they are not going to sit around waiting for the perfect woman to just jump on his lap he will just get those services from whoever is available and if it involves deception they don't really care because at the end of the day they are getting what they want. All these behaviors display a lack of emotional empathy but it's very natural in men since they see women as a lower class, not human beings, objects per say. Men are not confusing they want to confuse you. If you think a man is confusing then you get your answer.

It’s not that I’m intentionally playing games but I do these things. if I find a guy attractive and instantly he starts making moves on me consistently, I find it a turn off. Maybe because it shows some sort of desperation. I would look at it differently if things progressed a little slowly. When things are too easy, my interest starts to fade I DONT KNOW WHY. Once I get a guys attention i convince myself I need to focus on my priorities and I close myself off. Once I see that he’s stopped trying, I start to find him really attractive again... why am I like this?! I’m not sure if I’m afraid of commitment or if I’m not ready, but I feel like I’m ready?

No one should assume someone is toxic, but if you've been addressing issues with him and he has not been willing to change, just break up with him. Tell him you've lost interest in pursuing the relationship any further, say thanks for the fun you had, and then say goodbye. Be polite and firm. Then go No Contact because you've made your disinterest clear, there's no reason to keep taking his calls or returning his texts. Ghosting and No Contact are very different things.

This video was helpful. I'm usually the first person to text in general. I've been ghosted but I'm also guilty of doing the same to others. As someone who overthinks a lot of things it gives me some peace knowing it isn't my fault if a guy doesn't contact me. I understand life gets busy and you don't always respond to messages. I am definitely trying not to over think conversations between friends. I am getting better at it, even though on occasion it still happens. I've noticed some conversations had with guy friends, they won't respond to certain messages sent, but will respond to a different message that was sent a couple hours or a few days after the original message was sent.

Here's something a guy did: we flirted for months and I thought it was going to be something soon. He even asked me to a dance and we had plans to go out to eat and I quote "I refuse to let you pay." Fast forward a week. My friend tells me that he started dating a co worker he never mentioned to me. Okay. That hit pretty hard but I was letting it go. Fast forward 3 months at a halloween party. He's constant flirting, tried holding my hand and trying to kiss me. I didnt let him, obviously. He had a girlfriend. I said it wasnt cool and he didn't stop. Like wth?
