These T4 videos have been a lifesaver... thank you so much for providing exercises! You nailed it, a lot of my symptoms have been undiagnosed/misdiagnosed -- one week of these exercises has started to yield improvements - literally 5 years with this pain & inflammation is melting away little by little -- FINALLY!

Thank You for putting a name to what I have been experiencing. Big medicine just wants to prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxers. Then they wait until it gets so debilitating you submit to surgery. 60 days in physical therapy didn't really help. I'm only three days into your exercises and I am already feeling some relief. For the first time in awhile I'm hopeful about my prognoses. THANK YOU!

Very helpful.. im guessing i should skip exercise 4 as i have 5 bulging lumbar discs and severe nerve compression which doesnt hurt anywhere near the upper pain in my back that is debilitating me. Doctors so far havent figured it out im on week 3 of barely eating, no sleep and vomiting from the pain and spasms in my back and abdomen. Perhaps this is my answer they havent considered yet. Will be trying this and hopefully getting some relief. Thank you!

Hello :) I have cervical stenosis from a C4 injury that now has some arthritis involved. But my upper mid back also has chronic pain. Everything I’ve watched that you have on T4 Syndrome, resonates with what I’m feeling. So I’m wondering if any of these 5 exercises are not ok to do while also having the cervical pain…the hanging and the abs? Would those be ok to do with cervical stenosis?

Is it common to wake up with painful muscle spasm attacks with T4? I have every symptoms of T4 to a T and am doing the exercises and it helps but also I find it hard to stop doing pretty much anything and resting as part of recovery. I wake up with horrible neck pain and shoulder scapula pain and radiating everywhere. Also radial Nerve issues or something like that down my arm from a pinched nerve. I don’t know who to go to really with no one around who knows about this but it’s ruling my life

I'm having a lot of pain in my lats and shoulders doing shrugs like that. Is it ok to do other upper trap exercises with dumbbells that doesn't involve having to raise my hands above my head?
@epmanualphysicaltherapy
@epmanualphysicaltherapy 5 ай бұрын
Hi KatTheo, We are so sorry to hear that you're having so much pain in your lats and shoulders doing shugs. 🥺 We know how frustrating and painful it can be to want to be able to complete an exercise to be limited by pain. We don't know the details of your injury so we couldn't say if it its ok or not but as long as you're not feeling any pain when doing the exercises you should be ok. If you feel any pain you want to stop the exercises. You may need to adjust the range of motion or the intensity of which you are doing the exercises. In case you're interested we do have a t4 syndrome help playlist you might find helpful. You can access it here: “T4 Syndrome Pain Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mb0uGxQPBxoNV4m9-rzhj4f Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. We hope you found this information helpful. We wish you all the best in your road to recovery! 🙌

The pain I experience goes into my chest and feels very much like a heart attack. Not that i know first hand but as a cardiac RN this is what patients describe. So obviously very worrying especially because it effects my leftside and arm. It often feels like a deep burn in my back and my breathing and heart rate can sometimes change very likely because the pain is UNBEARABLe. I've even had a ctca done to rule out my heart. It was a very astute radiologist that suggested t4 syndrome. No other Doctor has heard of this. Well at least the ones I've talked to about it.

Hi :) I have "mild" bilateral retropatellar chondromalacia. I've been with physio for 6 months, and I keep going backwards. Before this issue i did yoga every day for 6 years, so had good strength. I am constantly flaring up over and over. I go exersize, I swell up, I rest, and repeat. They tell me to take ieprophen and put an ice pack on it. It feels like I've fallen and scraped my knee but on the inside. I think we skipped the rest step. How long should I rest for? Getting around the house is hard. How can I get help to not be hurting myself? I live in the UK. Please and thankyou. Thank you for the videos. (p.s my thighs are very strong, (though the cause of the issue is sudden and intense excessive pressure for 6 hours at a time LOVE TO DANCE) and my exersizes invlove thigh work.) I want to heal, but Im also scared of muscle deterioration.

Hi Jessica! Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your experience with bilateral retropatellar chondromalacia. We understand how frustrating and disheartening it can be to feel like you're going backward despite your efforts in physiotherapy. Firstly, it's important to note that we cannot provide specific medical advice without conducting a thorough evaluation. However, we can offer some general guidance to help you navigate your situation. In cases of chondromalacia, finding the right balance between exercise and rest is crucial for optimal healing. While exercise is important for maintaining overall strength and mobility, it's equally important to incorporate adequate rest periods to allow your knee to recover. Resting periods can vary depending on the severity of your symptoms and individual circumstances. We recommend discussing this with your physiotherapist, as they can provide personalized advice based on your condition and treatment plan. If you find that you are constantly flaring up and experiencing swelling after exercise, it may be an indication that the intensity or duration of your exercises needs to be adjusted. Your physiotherapist can help modify your exercises to ensure they are appropriate for your current level of function and minimize the risk of exacerbating your symptoms. In addition to rest and exercise modification, it's essential to address the root cause of your sudden and intense excessive pressure episodes. Understanding and managing those triggers can help prevent further damage and promote healing. In case you are interested we do have additional information and exercises in a playlist we have compiled for knee cap pain help. You can check it out here: "Knee Cap Pain Help" kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mYRotMXuS6F94UZkGAIxsb2 Also, please see: “Knee Swelling Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mb17SwpI5eM0Uca2qvg7gsC Wishing you a successful recovery and improved well-being.

my question is about cervical stenosis in neck! I have disc herniations at C3-4 and C4-5 with severe cord compression at C3-4 and canal stenosis at C4-5, can that cause restlessness in my bones? i have a lot of symptoms from my stenosis but that one im not sure is from this, because im tapering off a medication, so it might be from that. but than again i get this achey feeling in my arms as waking up in morning than i get restlessness!
@epmanualphysicaltherapy

Hi Terrill, We are so sorry to hear that you have been suffering from cervical stenosis! 🥺It can be such an uncomfortable experience that many people don't understand unless they are going through it. There are many symptoms that stem from cervical stenosis so it could be that you are experiencing what you describe as restlessness in your bones. We can't really determine for sure unless we were to conduct an examination but we do have some resources that might be of help to you. You can check it out here if you are interested: "Cervical (Neck) Stenosis Help" kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mbB6MFKdws1vpjbW_jyXB5y We hope you that can feel some relief soon! We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!
