The Javan tiger has actually been confirmed via trail cameras. It’s officially back.👍

This is so cool and there is more animals popping up that they thought went extinct. Now we need to stand together to protect them from disappearing again

Crested gecko. What I'd like to know is the history of it coming into the pet trade,first morph,etc.

Yeah this is the thing that's happened quite a few times for people think something is extinct but it's actually not it just popped back up I believe the most famous of these is the coelacanth.

Tigers have always been my favorite species of wild animal and I am ecstatic that we now have proof that one of those extinct species is not actually extinct and let's not f*** it up again as a species and wipe them out again let's protect them this time!
@ChiaraMainolfi19 күн бұрын
With luck we will find Thylacine in Australia as well. Adam, what’s your bet on them, I’m betting they still exist.
@InformalHistory2419 күн бұрын
My bet is they are around in Aus and Papua

I feel like you would need to cross reference the Tiger DNA with other tiger species and subspecies. Otherwise, without having genetic differences to say, the Sumatran Tiger, it could just be that. Sometimes, I feel like people just miss the obvious as well, especially with larger species, and a proper thorough search of an area, from the outside in, would likely yield the result of locating these animals.

I think the Geko would be my favorite come back simply cause it fell in the laps of scientists. thought with the turtle found with Forest didn't they move the animal for tests or something.

The Australian dibbler- thought to be extinct in the early 1990s and rediscovered in 1967. Still critically endangered but better that than extinct
