Hi Doc! TY so much for this information! All my life I've had 20/20 until I approached 50. I went to an optometrist and he said that sometimes age catches up with us. He prescribed me glasses but I had a hard time wearing them bc they made my eyes feel funny. I'd heard of eye exercises and tried them. When I went back the following year my eyesight had improved so I was given a lighter prescription. I'm hoping the next time he won't prescribe me at all!🤞🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Hi Dr. Bobby. I was intentionally looking for something you had on eye health, and here it is. My father had Glaucoma and it’s believed that my maternal grandfather had Glaucoma. I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 y.o. I'm 57 now. I was diagnosed with Glaucoma in 2013. My vision started changing in 2021 during Covid. Classes were online and I do believe it contributed to my vision getting worse. I've had many surgeries - laser, small retinal tear in left eye, bilateral stents and drainage tubes, dry eyes +... Almost all of my peripheral vision is gone in both eyes. I am legally blind but l do still have some vision. I have noticed lately that my near/reading vision is getting worse. I have done the eye exercises over the years. Is there anything I can do, at this point, to keep or make my vision better? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You have been a Blessing.

In the next few months I will be having a cataract removed from the right eye. I was prescribed glasses at age 39. The eye doctor said that I needed them because I was getting older. I never wore them until I was mid 50"s. Now until I have the cataract removed I see better without glasses.

@operasinger2126 I'm not sure, but I do eat healthy most of the time. My eye doctor told me that it's normal for folks' eyes to get better as they age. I eat carrots 4 to 5 times a week, but I'm not sure that helped. I have always heard that bete carotene is good for the eyes.

Have you heard of the See Clearly Method? The exercises you gave reminds me of that. Also I read that there was a study done concluding vitamin d deficiency to be the root of near sightedness as opposed to nearwork (work done close to the eyes whether its from technology or reading/writing) . They did a study where kids had to do nearwork outside vs nearwork inside and the kids who did it outside had less of a chance to develop near sightedness.
