I think Front Man was once an honest cop that truly believes in the rule of law. However, one day, he arrested a young punk that committed a horrendous crime but was forced to let him go because the punk is the son of a rich man. Not able to let it go, the Front Man tried to build a case against the young punk but his rich father got the Front Man's police superiors to frame him for taking bribes (probably his superiors set him up in a sting operation where he is undercover to take bribes but they make it look like he was taking bribes for real). This whole ordeal makes him realize how unfair the world truly is and he became a true believer of the games because everyone there is 'equal'.

Here's my personal final prediction for s2: We saw that Gi-Hun was basically guiding everyone in red light, green light in the trailer for s2, so Gi-Hun thinks he's in control because he helps them and he knows all the games and how to beat them so at one point for example he tells everyone to only group up with the muscular men right before tug of war (just like squid game: the challenge) and then he gets a dozen people killed because he told them to group up with the physically strong men and then it ends up being a completely different game. I know in s1, gi hun’s team didn’t even have muscular people, but they had 001 to help them, which is the only reason they won. This time they probably won’t have that so I’m guessing gi hun makes everyone go with the muscular men and then the game is changed right before, so basically like in the reality show where everyone knew tug of war was the next game because of the show, so they only grouped up with the muscular guys and then it was changed to battle ships and most of them were eliminated. I also think the son from the mother-son duo will maybe be our new Ali, the sweet and innocent guy and he’ll break our hearts when him and his mom gets eliminated😢 And I think the frontman (Hwang-In-Ho) will pose as a player and THAT IS THE REASON BEHIND THE BLACK MANAGER! He lets one of his managers take charge as a black manager or maybe even a VIP is behind that mask, as he poses as a player alongside Gi-hun and maybe even sabotages him or helps him kind of like 001 did in s1.
