I'm an army veteran, living in a very remote region in north eastern Montana, I'm financially broke but no complaints. There is no work in my area. I choose not to leave my mother and grandmother and aunt undefended. Currently brainstorming to start a business here that will not only survive, but hopefully become profitable to my community, my family and lastly myself.

Just a suggestion, a dream I had that I cannot afford to do yet but hope to God one day I can. I will still share with others because many can benefit from the very same idea and it will help vets. I am almost 50 now and I have been robbed and taken advantage of. But I always keep my hope that God will provide so I can have my dream one day. Maybe I won't get to do it this side of heaven but maybe those in a position to do so can. Because this can help lots of people. If you have land, say 20 acres or more. (You can probably do it with less); you can subdivide it into sections. Let's say 5 acres or even 2. For me I was thinking 10 so people have their own space. You use that land for a veteran's community. (fancy word for trailer park). A lot of the vets live in trailer parks and the landowner sells the land right out from under them. It is sad. Then the new owner takes over the trailer park and hikes the prices up so the vets end up having to abandon their trailer because they cant afford to move it and become homeless. This isn't always the case, but we have a lot of homeless vets. These trailer parks end up becoming something else over the years too. To avoid that, you have contracts. Lets say a vet moves in and they pass away, their trailer will become part of an estate. You sell it to the next vet and that money goes to whoever the deceased vet wanted it to go to. That way the community always stays a vets community. Keep the land rent at $300 or less for their trailer. (I looked up some of the land prices in my area, and it is anywhere from $600-$1200 a space-to me that's ridiculous) But being realistic you still have to charge for trash water etc so 300 a space should handle it. Not sure, I am guessing. Maybe even buy a couple trailers and rent them to vets. But no matter what always keep it a vet community. You can even have a section for widows (God says take care of the widows). They have those barn sheds you can turn into a gym or clubhouse. I love to cook for people. My grandmother did it. We had a ranch on 40 acres and two 18 foot long tables and would invite family friends over to celebrate and share a meal. We raised the American flag every Sunday. I miss it but have no family to do that for. So I thought vets. I could do that for vets. They would appreciate it and I can show my appreciation for them by cooking for them. And think about it. When SHTF you have a bunch of armed dudes. LOL Just a thought. But if we had land owners out their who supported the constitution we can give back and protect our vets.

I live a life of having what I want because I made a decision long ago not to live as others live. I chose to work hard, to spend little, to invest in real estate, to invest in myself by learning skills which paid well, to pay special attention to my health and to my physical well being. I'm debt free to the pioint of owing not even a favor, have money I haven't even counted, weigh what I weighed as a 21-year-old and am as strong as the same and take no meds because I have no medical issues. I'm 71. I live a life far beyond rich. I live a life of wealth. It's a choice.

The idea behind this is that you are living in the US and therefor your land is leased to you by the government. Taxes are suppose to be used to support the infrastructure around you that you use daily. It could be simply your road leading to your house. At the end of the day no one really owns anything in this world. We rent it and then one day we die and those things that are now yours becomes temporarily someone else's until they die. The only thing that doesn't die would be the land and government control of the land you currently have. That can die as well but then another country would own it. Unfortunately, though, that is TERRIBLE advice, jellybean! Living that way KEEPS one perpetually broke, or just over broke. Get the financial education that wealthy people give to their kids to keep growing wealth. You cannot save your way to wealth. You cannot get wealthy by simply paying cash for everything or not buying unnecessary stuff. You've GOT to have investments that pay you, and that often means utilizing credit. Do the homework and learn about all kinds of investment options. Then make practice or pretend investments and learn as much as you can without putting in real money. Then start small and increase investments or commitments as you gain confidence. Learn to leverage OPM--other people's money--instead of your own "life savings." You can do it! (Oh, and if you've got your wages stuffed away in a 401K, PULL IT ALL OUT and self invest. Of course, you have to do your own research first, but a 401K is the WORST kind of retirement scam that's been foisted on us. Please, do your own homework on this and protect and grow the fruits of your labors and energy you've already given to some employer. Don't pay the exorbitant taxes later--they will NEVER shrink, only your savings will when you depend on it for daily living expenses.)

@@jaroneaton8023 Example ~ Parents went to buy retirement home. No credit ~payed cash My brother financed his house for 15 Paid off in two years ~ The minimum required. Man, everybody's situation is different. Some have it harder than others. Some people aren't as healthy as they once were. Some people have to take care of their families in one way or another. People have different issues going on in their lives. I get what your saying man, but maybe its the way you say it. You can't judge a person unless you have walked in their shoes. For everyone I know, its hard to get by these days. Maybe you have it better, but many people do not, and many of those people are good people. I try to be humble, and thankful for my family and having a roof over our heads. Other than that, I'm dead broke. I get you need income to survive, but money doesn't but my happiness. I have a wife and 3 kids. My youngest son is autistic, and man its a struggle. Sure I would be happy to have alot of money. But what would make me more happy, is to hear my son be able to talk, or tell me and my wife "I love you." Some things money can't buy. I know you mean well man, but you kinda sound arrogant. I'm not a snowflake, so anyone's replies won't hurt my feelings a bit. Just my opinion.

My company isn't doing even a quarter of what it used to. They raised the interest rates so much that buyers don't qualify to buy the minimum 500k home in my area. On top of that sellers who locked into a 2.8% rate years ago aren't willing to sell to have to buy at a 7% so we have no inventory. It's what you call being stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've been doing this for many years and have not seen it this bad in a long time. People are shopping at Amazon and Walmart because they have no money. Real estate is my profession. It doesn't make sense to leave everything and try to start another business in such a fucked up economy so instead organic were doing Walmart. Just the way it is brother. Follow this advice and you won't be broke in 20 years. Get yourself a Roth IRA and invest in a good, low cost S&P 500 index fund like VFINX at Vanguard. Or Fidelity has a fund you can start with $10. FZROX. Max out the IRA every year and never take a dime out no matter what. I started when I was 29 and broke, delivering pizza. Now I've been invested 19 years and even though I had a couple lean years where I didn't invest much, I'm still set nicely for retirement. I won't be wealthy, but I'll be well taken care of, and any Social Security I get will just be extra.

Idk where you're from Chad, but here in rural TN the average income is roughly $35k/yr for us turds. We're struggling in a inflated economy that requires minimally $100k/yr to stay afloat... Average Joe in my world brings home about $500 a week ($2k/mo).. Rent takes 3/4 of that now, utilities the other 1/4. Then there's car insurance, and car payment (if not paid for), groceries, gas... So tell me how a single person is to live comfortably today? Work 2 or 3 jobs? Is that the new America? Step outside your bubble bro, average Joe is on a sinking ship!

You said you never had money in the stock market or bitcoin but I remember seeing one of your videos when you were explaining about you buddy in the teams and how he was crazy about bitcoin and mentored you and got you into bitcoin and you said you were rich in bitcoin. Not hating on you at all brother. I love your videos and podcasts and I see eye to eye with you on everything. I’m just confused on that topic.

The video you remember was recorded 2 months ago, but you must have forgotten how Chadd finished the video. He starts out sounding like he was getting into bitcoin, but Chadd finishes the video by roasting bitcoin and cryto in general. He is 100% consistent. He ends that video touting the same REAL assets he's talking about here. Chadd is the real deal and is no hypocrite.

@@amho123 you are correct sir and I must have forgotten. I just got confused and honestly should have gone back and watched that video again. I just didn’t know if he was being serious or sarcastic when he was saying he was rich in bitcoin but now looking back and seeing how consistent he is I do believe he was being sarcastic. Thanks brother and no I don’t think he’s a hypocrite at all and I know he’s the real deal.

I couldn’t agree more. I was taught borrowing money was not only acceptable, but a necessary way of life. I’m making far more than I ever have and I have figured out I never should have used debt. Even if you have a good income, if you borrow money you’ll still be broke. Taxes, social security and Medicare are the punishment you get for working a J.O.B.
