I have the Mini Monceau bag & it is my favorite bag to take when traveling. You can tuck in the straps & use it as a clutch & it makes a great crossbody bag that holds just what you need. I don’t baby it at all & it never scratches or shows wear.

Honestly I doubt the larger luxury houses will offer more affordable options. Rather, I agree with the commenter below that they’ll just buy stake in smaller brands. Like the video I shared recently about LVMH buying a stake in Polene and Chanel buying a stake in The Row. 😑

Ateliers Auguste’s bags have always grabbed my attention. Their leather looks so nice and smooth. Maybe I should give them a try There’s a french heritage brand that I love because they don’t use cotton canvas, but they use printed lambskin leather for all their bags and SLGs, which makes them so soft and supple! They do have a pretty interesting history that goes back to the 18th century! The brand is called Moreau. This was so fun to watch! Can’t wait for part 2!

Ateliers Auguste has different types of leather they use. The bags I have are in the smoother leathers but I believe they also offered pebbled/grainy leathers, so just check carefully. 😊 As for Moreau, I just looked them up! Wow, another older Parisian brand with such history! It makes me wonder how brands like Goyard become so well-known while brands like Moreau stay under the radar. Thank you for sharing!

There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *hotdups* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.

Hi Hannah, another brand that i have with me is Fotanelli, handbags made in Italy established in 1860. I think they have gifted some to KZbinrs but now seems it has quiet down. I have one of its handbag that looks like Kelly Hermes 25 but much better opening, closing and adjustable strap. Great video and surely bring in more videos on this.

A really good quality knockoff *hotdups* is actually made in the same factory as the original, and 9/10 of the originals aren’t even made of quality leather.

I work in the medical field. I was stressed so I bought a designer bag and carried my authenticity card in case someone said my bag was fake. Turns out nobody cares...nobody! Rsvp and fleuron tell the weight on their website (both bags about 400 g). Menières website is awful. Not even a proper description of the bags which are pretty pricy in my opinion. And I would always think the one Hannah shows looks like a chanel dupe - even the Menière company has the longer tradition. If, I would chose an other model. But I don‘t like the name. Menière reminds me to much of the awful balance disorder with the same name.

Absolutely agree, the weight is so important! I usually share the weight of each bag when I do the dedicated review videos where I go in-depth. I already shared the weights of the RSVP, Fleuron and Ateliers Auguste bags in earlier videos. They’re all quite light… approximately 1 lb or less if I recall accurately. The Meniere Paris Archiduchess is about 1 lb 1 oz and the Beracamy is about 1 lb 4 oz with the pouch inside (without the pouch, it’s about 1 lb). Hope that helps!

I bought the bag from Ateliers Auguste, and it’s high quality and looks great. My only issue with it is that the strap keeps slipping off my shoulder, and I constantly have to adjust it, which is inconvenient while walking.

I love bag #2, not the colour so much but the design idea, fantastic and different...Can l make a suggestion. To put the brand names featured in the title of the video so when people search for the brand name your video comes up. I say this because 2 days ago the brand Danse Lente came up onto my feed. I wanted to see more of their bags (I am in love) so videos featuring their name were most helpful. Also You hit the nail on the head for me, I am uninspired by the mainstream lux brands. I only realised this when l saw the bags by Danse Lente 💜

Oh Lancel is quite an old brand from Paris!! They’ve been around since the 1800s and gained “luxury” status in the early 1900s. They’re not as hyped as other French brands but they definitely have the rich heritage and history!

I specifically wanted to feature brands that seem to be lesser known. For the record, I still own my APC bag but that’s a brand that is more widely known, as is Longchamp, so I didn’t think it would be as “fresh” or new. As mentioned in the video, I can gladly do a part 2 video including these brands and others I come across but the goal wasn’t to include every French brand on the planet. As for what influencers are promoting right now, I couldn’t care less. I’m sharing what I want to share. I’ve personally never seen reviews on some of these bags I feature so hoping it’s helpful to those who are interested. Frankly, I don’t understand the negativity behind your comment.
