5-FU FROM A TO Z: What You Need to Know about the Most Common Colorectal Cancer Treatment

I am starting Chemo on Monday 2 days from now with 5 FU for colon cancer this is being used along with a number of other drug's to try and beat this sage 3 situation that has spread into 3 of my lymph nodes that they couldn't take out during my colon surgery that removed a fist sized mass in my lower descending colon leaving me with a colostomy that may be able to be reattached. I had pancreatic cancer 15 years ago and they used 5 FU on me and it was VERY harsh and it caused a lot of rash on my body. I can only hope that this time it's not as hard on me but I'm also a lot older now.
