Thank you so much for your video . My son , age 43 , was diagnosed with stage4 bowel cancer 4 weeks ago . He had blood in his poop and went it for a colonoscopy which confirmed cancer . He also has a small mass in his liver that was seen in an MRI . Just 4 days ago he had a bowel resection where they took 18 inches of his bowel . Next , in 3 weeks , he is booked for a liver ablation . After that he will receive chemo . Your video is very inspirational and has given a mom very much hope . I can't thank you enough . May you be blessed with continued good health and a full cure . Ontario Canada .

My lung turned out to be from my colon! Now I'm getting FOLFOX next week. I'm scared. The side effects from the colon cancer treatment was bad enough. Now I'm facing another set of side effects that sound either miserable, or horrible. My spirit is good, my support system is in place. I really love salads, but with the anticipated reaction to cold, I'm going to have to get used to warm salads. No more chocolate pudding! DAMN! Thanks for helping me to get ready for this assault that's about to happen to my body. I'm 70, survived colon AND brain cancer (I got a helluva zipper on the back of my head) and I appreciate your video. It will help. Thanks.

@@GeorgeLangabeer After my four-hour FOLFOX infusion followed with a day-and-a-half portable infusion pump, you're right. I'M A BADASS! I swear I have had ZERO side effects! No temperature sensitivity. No changes in food taste. No headaches, diarrhea, nausea. NO NADA! Your words, along with the Grateful Dead's song "Touch of Gray" made my spirit strong. Listening to Jerry Garcia sing, "I will get by. I will survive" spoke directly to me. It made me cry but it made me feel GOOD after wiping my tears. It made me ready to go to battle. You helped me, my fellow Warrior!

@@daisydukes8252 I posted that in my first month of chemo. Now I'm in my eighth month of treatment including my brain tumor remnants, my oncologist thinks I'm a "miracle man." Continued with barely noticeable side effects. Now he's cut out Oxaliplatin. the "Ox" in FOLFOX. Reports that my blood is "really good" and my tumors have shrunk a lot. God is good.

Great video. I’m a 5 year colorectal cancer warrior. My journey began at 62 with my annual physical. My cologuard test came back positive and 2 weeks later a colonoscopy found my tumor which I named Rosebud. 3 weeks after that I started my first 2 month daily chemo and radiation treatment. One month later I had the tumor removed and my colon resectioned with an ileostomy creation. I then had a port installed in my chest and started my next 6 months of bi-weekly chemo that lasted 4 days each treatment. I was totally asymptomatic when Rosedub appeared. My cancer was stage 2A. A great support group and a positive attitude helped me get through the dark days of chemo. I salute you for being so honest and open for sharing your journey. I hope your recovery is as successful as mine. Stay strong and healthy good times are coming again. ☮️🙏🏻

You did an amazing job explaining everything in this video George. I have no doubt you will win this fight!! My sister-in-law had round 8 of FOLFOX on Monday and is also determined to kick cancer's ass. She is in her mid 30s and was diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive colon cancer in August. Her symptoms were no more than a persistent indigestion basically. Fortunately for her, she happens to work as a day surgery nurse, assisting with endoscopies and colonoscopies. The surgeon she works with really pushed her to get her symptoms checked out even though she wasn't worried, and thankfully my SIL listened. Her main tumor was days from causing a full blockage when it was found. We now advocate for everyone even slightly concerned to see their healthcare professional and get that colonoscopy, no matter their age.

I’ve been fighting stage 4 rectal cancer for 1.5 years now. Just finished my 35 chemo of folfox and tumer has shrunk but has quit responding. I just got my first round of chemo with a different mix but I can’t think of the name. It causes pimples and skin rashes. The folfox was fairly good for me. All this surprises me because all my life I’ve been that healthy as a horse person (I’m 59 now). And yes, ALL YOU YOUNG PEOPLE GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY STARTING EARLY 40s!!!!!! CATCH THESE THINGS EARLY!!! I had almost no signs except for rapid weight loss and then I started having bowel leakage. And please if you’re not, get right with God and seek Jesus Christ and get born again and baptized!!!

Thank you. I am grateful for your opening up. I have just been diagnosed with Colon Cancer. I am waiting for the CT scan to discover the stage it’s at. First of all numbed shock. Then understanding the possible consequences and now sort of acceptance. But it’s still frightening. If you have anaemia get an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Anaemia is NOT an illness it’s the symptom of an underlying illness. Find out what’s causing the anaemia.

Thank you for sharing. I just got done 4 weeks ago with colon cancer surgery. Reconnected my colon. Removed a pie shape section of colon, tgat had a mass size of my fist and surrounding tissue. Biopsy of the section removed revealed 6 out of 25 lymph nodes had cancer. I meet with my oncologist the 24th. Before surgery a CT scan was done & showed it was localized cancer but did break through wall etc as mentioned about hitting 6 out of 25 lymph nodes too. So next step is with oncologist 4/24/24 to go over plan but is stage 3 last I heard. Month ago. I'll keep everyone updated if able.

It kept shrinking the tumor but has plateaued pretty much so I just had my first round of chemo of another mix, can’t remember the name of it but it’s main side effect is skin pimples and rashes. My neuropathy has stayed in my feet for sure. Nowhere else but I hope it goes away. The journey is long and hard but you said it right by saying stay positive and fight!!! I’m totally in the realm. Sure it gets old but you have to keep pushing and fighting, and for me on my knees more asking for some miracle healing. I know that slow motion feeling very well. But the fact that you’re young and generally healthy are what’s important. I had that going for me too and it’s helped me tremendously. I know there is so much unknown and it’s important to “feel your feels”. But don’t let any of it get the best of you. I can tell you have the right attitude to conquer anything. Just based off your comment, you seem like a naturally strong person. You’ve got this. Just stay focused on being proactive and doing everything you can that is within your control. I’m about to celebrate 12 months being NED. Just confirmed my ostomy reversal surgery. None of that seemed possible when I was diagnosed, but here we are. I feel fantastic and I’m thriving. Check different locations if you can. I was used to the casket type of MRI, it helped to keep my eyes shut the entire time, but my arms/ hands went to sleep, and that hurt. The MRI was long. One time I was sent to a different hospital in a different city and it was like night and day! The MRI machine was much newer, only three years old, which is very new in medicine. It was bigger, wider, and they put my head towards the opening instead of down in the tube. It took much less time for the long MRI than the old location did. I didn’t think they did the long MRI but the technician told me that they did ! It was wonderful ! It didn’t bother me at all. Check around or have others check for you and maybe you can find a location like this. It makes a big difference..!

I'm 28 and having stomach problems, cramping pain, my bowel only got softer but didn't have any hard poop, and recently I had some blood in my stool. So I contacted the gastroenterologist and will go in for consulting. I highly feel like it will be a colonoscopy, as you described it, I've been thru rougher stuff. Let's hope it's something else or it's not bad and I caught it in time. Luckily I don't drink much alcohol, and I also started switching my diet. Luckily I haven't been drinking lot of sugary stuff either. Thank you so much for this video! Very well put together and explained. I'm definitely less nervous and less scared. :)

I had my first Colonoscopy this year. My prep was a walk in the park, my colonoscopy was painful but it was because my sedation wore off and they werent done taking biopsies yet. I am happy to say I didn't even have one polyp! We still haven't found out why I am having the problems I have... but I don't have colon cancer! Thoughts and prayers for you and your journey.

Keep up the battle and continue driving those markers down. I have cancer from Agent Orange (tour of duty in Vietnam) but doing well. Had immunotherapy twice instead of chemotherapy. There’s actually no comparison accept the chair and the time involved. (Plus neuropathy.) But both knock out cancer. As it happens, I am an NP & both my mother and uncle have died from Colon CA, another of their brothers died from liver and pancreatic CA, and the eldest sister; my Aunt Franny died from metastic breast CA. I’ve had one clean colonoscopy, but haven't been back despite knowing I should have had at least two more. … by now. It's just fear. I was awake for the one I had, and although clear, it was horrible. I so appreciate your can do attitude. Again, thank you much. R/ m got

I am at a lost. I just had my stage 2 colon cancer removed and the doctor asked if I would like to do chemo. He told me stage 2 is optional as 50% of stage 2 patients do not benefit from chemo and the chances of a relapse between those who did chemo and those that did not is just 2%. He also told me of all the 9 categories of high risk of a relapse I have only 1 LVSI the rest tested negative. Will you do chemo? The oncologist did suggest another option and that is to do a CT scan every 3 months to see if there is a relapse.

Hello sir thank you for the testimonial. I have had stomach issues my whole life. This past year I had bowel changes, exactly what you went through: small poop mixed with tarry stool and occasional explosions of bright blood. I unfortunately had an insurance debacle this past year where my treatment was slowed to a crawl. In the new year I have specialists lined up and a colonoscopy. I’m fearful but also hopeful it’s not as bad as it could be. Also my stool has a very specific, almost metallic smell to is . My question to you is about the blood in the stool. How often did you experience blood? For me it’s about once every two to three weeks with a bout of blood and then nothing . Good luck to you and thank you in advance if you are able to respond 🙂. I am also a you tuber who was doing well but have become too sick to produce videos these last 5 months. Good luck on your continued improvement of health!
