Those prop rods are awesome. Airing up on a windy day with the hood up and the compressor connected to the battery. The hood bouncing around pulled the factory rod out of the hole. Fortunately, I was walking by and caught the hood before the rod damaged something in the engine compartment. I liked it so much, I bought some for our other 2 vehicles. Super easy install and worth every penny!

Also a good tip is to wrap with spiral cable wrap. To protect it. I use it to protect my brake lines. Because there is no good place to tie down the lines till I make them longer.

All great mods. If you haven't seen it, BadgeGlow makes a simple aux for the auxiliary switches on the JL that makes connecting to those switches much easier and is much cleaner than the loose wire ends that Jeep sent them out with.

Always fun hangin' in the garage watchin' someone else do all the work. {grin} Nice maintenance/mods reminds me that I need to replace my bumpstops. Sure wish the stock "sliders" for an Xterra were like those on a jeep. And you're right about the hood struts for any vehicle. Those were one of the first mods I did. It gave me an extra 3 inches of lift, and it got that rod outta the way so I can work under the hood easier. Until next time... Travel safe.

what awesome upgrades. Looks like I am overdue for new rear lower bump stops on our JKU. I had been eyeing the hood struts before. So handy and seems to be easy enough for even me to install. Still a tad intimated with he rock lights to install myself, but we shall see. what a great video! Can't wait to see your Death Valley adventure Brad!

I love my Vector Offroad bar on my JKU...great upgrade. I had some horrible luck with the hood struts though. They were so strong that closing the hood bent my hood hinge brackets. The bent enough to increase the gap between the cowl and the hood by around 3/8". It's very noticeable.

This wiper spray mod is for Heavy Duty soiling, leading he accumulated with washer spray and is not normal moderation at all. I like it. Also I put ppf film on all my cars windshields then ceramic coat the film so that any dirt or debris glide off with just a light oem spray.

Great video! I think I saw your wife's jeep earlier today at the Miramar Commissary. I was 2 spots away from it in the parking lot. I have the big blue Silverado with offroad lights and radio antennas. You have a nice looking rig. Pointed it out to my boys. I think we passed each other in the commissary, too. I decided to not bother you as I figured you had things you needed to get done. I certainly did, too.

Quick question: Don't beadlocks torque to certain specs or just hand tight is fine? Edit: Hood struts were godsend to me. I'm a disabled Vet only functioning with one arm/hand, so the prop bar was a huge hassle for me every time I had to open the hood. I agree; they should come from factory like that, but you know that's gonna add about $500 to the sticker price!!!😆😆

I drive a semi, and our wiper fluid is delivered through 3 nozzles on the arm near the center of the blades. They're garbage. You may be surprised how much wiper fluid flies around the side of the truck, and not on the windshield where it's needed. 🤨 I'd rather have it sprayed up to the windshield from below (like you'd have on a car, or Jeep, or Tahoe, etc). At least then it's largely go onto the windshield. Hopefully, yours work better for you than the way mine work on the big truck.

The windshield wipers look cool. Though, I wonder if the fluid-hose for it shouldn't be tucked up under or with the arm. And the holes on the underside. It looks like the wipers fluid will be sprayed on the window while the wipers are going down leaving fluid on the windshield?? Does that make sense? Curious to see those in-action out on the road or off-road, as it were. Love your videos. I will own another Jeep or Bronco sooner than later (3rd Jeep if I go that route = 1978 CJ-7 304 v8 Renegade Levi Edition and 2005 Rocky Mountain Edition.) God Bless & Godspeed.

What makes the factory Rubicon rock rails more durable than Rock Slide Engineering step sliders? The Rock Slide Engineering sliders mount to the frame via the body mount points, verses the factory rails which mount to the body. They also stick out farther from the doors, which protects better, and allows them to be used like a pivot around rocks. My factory rock rails have some rust on them, so I doubt the factory coating is more durable than the Rock Slide Engineering powder coating. Is the steel thinner on the Rock Slide Engineering sliders? I know they have optional skid plates for the step sliders, but I thought the steel of the step sliders was as thick or thicker than the factory rock rails.
