I love everything except the powerhead. I can't say much because I haven't figured this out for my self.

@KariZmA316 the tanks are made different... the black plastic was put their to keep the glass from having stress points when full. it could be a future problem for you and you might want to consider looking into it.
@TheIceDragon11 жыл бұрын
Probably 300 galons+++ Clownfish can be held in nano tanks as singel individuals or as mated pairs. If you want to keep more clownfish in one tank you need a BIG tank, as clownfish are quite territorial and require rather large territories, for them not to be aggressive towards each other.
@AlexTubed12 жыл бұрын
@AaahItsHannah 280 is very cheap there's a sort of "guideline" that for every gallon expect to pay 100 dollars once it's all said and done. That's factoring in everything tank, sand, rocks, pumps, heaters, lights, etc.

Nice Tank! This may inspire me to start my own nano reef in a 5 gallon I have! How do you like this tank and how is it working out for you? Is it hard to maintain? Did you use the stock bulbs from that Power compact light? I have Freshwater but have never done salt before. What is your regular schedule for maintenance on this tank? Also what is some live stock and corals that you would reccomend for a tank of this size?
@1KELBY112 жыл бұрын
@borgey420 Maybe hard for you. Ive been keeping a 3 gallon pico with a neon goby, clown goby, inverts, plus sps/lps/soft corals for about a year now with not one death. A 10 gallon with one clown is VERY easy to take care of.
@1reefluvr26 жыл бұрын
Do you have a link to see your tank, i have a 2.6 gallon tank for 9 months now and want to compare
@borgey42012 жыл бұрын
@Gritzaable The issue with nano tanks is that you have no room for play. The water quality is VERY hard to keep correctly since there is very little water. If you're looking to start a reef tank then you honestly should start with AT LEAST a 30 long. That'll give you a little room for error (not much though). The people who are "bitching" are just being honest with you. Many experienced reef keepers have nano tanks crash never mind someone who is just getting into the hobby.

Those corals that are on the little stone circles, will they ever be able to get removed from them and put on actual live rock or they have to keep growing on those stone circles?
@homurseempsone1549 жыл бұрын
They can be removed, but they can be buffetted around in the water. Eventually they'll spread out far enough so that you wont notice its there

Felix Krebs 5 gallons is perfect for a pair of clownfish
@felixk30929 жыл бұрын
Sure, a bucket of water is perfect for fish which usually have quite big anemones to live in. Get in a broom closet for the rest of your life and tell me how great it is to live in there. Just because we can keep them doesn't mean that we can lock them up in such small tanks - that's cruel and reckless.
@homurseempsone1549 жыл бұрын
Felix Krebs #1 If there was good food and furnishings, id be fine. #2 Theres no way you can justify keeping a fish in an aquarium at all with that logic. Not even a 10,000 Gallon profesional reef kept and maintained by the world's best fish experts would be good enough. Only the vast ocean is real, and everything else is fake.
@ArmorPsi9 жыл бұрын
This guy Felix acts like these fish need an open ocean to roam in....Don't forget they don't even wonder far from the anemone in the wild so a 5 gal "water bucket" as you put it seems just fine.
