This engine was formerly owned by a BR steam driver who sadly died of cancer during the pandemic. As a young firman he remembered seeing the original loco in this livery not long after nationalisation.

I haven’t seen an example of an 5” gauge 8f. I’m currently building a 3 1/2” gauge 8f.
