Ford Motors has been around for 120 years, and in many ways, it's still a family-owned company. In this video, I decided to trace its history from Herny Ford to today, where the fifth generation of Ford works for the company. Also, be sure to subscribe to my channel, as Im working on a few new documentaries, on Henry Ford the II, Enzo Ferrari, and Rolls-Royce that you don't want to miss!

Awesome video as always, I have a 1996 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 in it with 210,00 miles on it and a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 160,000 miles on it and both are still going strong.

I had a 2000 F150 I sold with 196,000, an 03 expedition that I sold with 282,000 miles, an 09 Taurus that I sold with 343,000 miles. I once bought a Camry, but it stayed in the shop and seemed lightweight to me

We own two Ford vehicles, a 1997 old body style F250 HD with just over 270,000 on the clock. We bought it when it was just five years old after belonging to a building superintendent. It’s got a bedliner gooseneck hitch 2 Wheel Dr., The E4 OD transmission, coupled to the 5.8 L 351 Windsor. It needs a little TLC catalytic converters, a couple of sensors and there’s a parasitic draw somewhere, but she still starts and runs every time all the time. The second is the 2003 Ford Explorer with the two valve 4.6 modular engine. Anybody recall the transmission used in that I wanna say 4r55 or 5r 55. It’s four-wheel-drive model, Eddie Bauer edition. It has some issues. It tends to suddenly lose oil pressure when it’s idle, and I suspect either the rear end or one of the wheel bearing says gone south. It currently sits unfortunately. But my first exposure to the Ford lineup would be in the form other than a tank of an automobile and a donation car to boot a 1977 Mercury colony Park wagon with the 460 a Lincoln exclusive until 1972. It was the daily driver until my dad was driving home from work one day and it threw the rod at the end of the block so he coasted it to the house parked it, where it sat and eventually got scrapped probably. I think the oil pump went out. But it was such a comfortable riding vehicle.

My biggest mistake was a 1970 Maverick with a 250 cu. In. straight 6, couldn't keep valve guides in the motor.

When we finally upgraded our shop in the early 1980. We would put silicone bronze guides in if the people could afford them. These lasted.

Does anyone have a favourite Ford Car?
@billhershkowitz57599 ай бұрын
There are a number of errors in the narration. The Falcon was introduced for 1960, not 1957. And a car that turned Ford around after WWII was the "shoebox" 1949 Ford. Also the overhead valve V8, introduced in Ford cars for 1954.

Normally, the son of the founder will hurt or slow the company. The 3rd generation normally completely wrecks what the grandfather started. The 3rd generation has never known the struggles and sacrifices needed to build. Instead, they live on the gravy Grandpa and Dad created. Henry Ford, the Duece, was very unusual in that he grew Ford. Very amazing.

Hank flourished without contestation because Henry was not around. Hank forgot that he was given the Ford leadership on the silver platter but refused to handover the baton. Selfish and self-centered man he was.

Bring back the Falcon. Australia made them for decades. The best car Ford made.ring back Australian manufacturing. We created the Ranger. Australia gets no recognition for our contribution to car manufacturing. We did a good job. And it’s all gone. Not fair.

My family was pretty much a Ford to family. I've owned at least 15 of them in my lifetime. I think Henry was a greedy tyrant. He was doing a lot of business with the Nazis before WW2. It was no secret he was antisemitic and he didn't care much for labor unions. It was also said he cut corners on the cars he sold. Many of his shady business practices leaked into modern Ford models. Ford did a lot for the Auto industry both good and bad. When I was young he was a figure I looked up to. After I learned about the way he did business I don't have a favorable opinion of him any more!

Where is it true that Henry gave the world the first V8 at that price point, he shunned innovation. I drove a 1937 Ford, the first car to have headlights in the fenders, but it still had cable brakes and an I beam front axal, way behind the competition.

Henry Ford actually had 2 children. Why didn't you include the fact that Henry had a romantic affair with another much younger woman who worked at Ford Motor, got her pregnant and had a child out of wedlock.That baby's cradle is sitting next to Edsels baby cradle in the attic of Henry's mansion called "Fairlane" in Dearborn Michigan. 😮
