The 5 gods means they dominate in multiple fighting games. Each of the 5 have had titles in more than 1 game. And they've been a threat in tournaments whether it was there main game or not. Whereas those that you've mentioned are 3rd strike specialist or players who havent donminated in other games like the 5 Gods are.

+wolfumz He was around for forever. There is a lot vids of him in high level play from mid-2000's from at least 2006. He just doesn't show up a lot or play anything else so he doesn't get the same fanfare.

Also,I haven't watch much of Sako's videos but I always thought that Saru/Yakkun are the best Yun now. I will search more about Sako Tokido: I do agree that at the time he was playing he was a beast (2007/2008) but he just disappeared and stopped playing fighting games...Oh yeah, SSF4AC is also a "fighting game''... But chosing 5 seems impossible when I think about: Deshiken, Hayao, Rikimaru, Saru, Ushi, Yakkun, KO, Kokujin, Namijin, TM,YSB, Genki, Pierrot,Kokujin,etc.. who are also legends.. :(

Haitani is pretty freakin good at 3s. But no doubt, Daigo, Tokido are great players. I haven't seen much of Sako, but the K.O finisher was clean. I don't think Haitani is up there with the likes of MOV, Kuroda, Kokujin, Nuki and some others, but he can definitely contend at a higher 3s level than Daigo/Tokido.

Daigo: Even looking at his matches now, I'm still impressed despite the way of playing third strike has clearly evolved. Nuki: ... Haitani: The best Makoto ever in terms of efficiency, not very impressive though.. just EFFICIENT !! Kuroda: Who's his main character ...
