Andy Griffith didn’t want to be embalmed, state law only gives you so many hours to have a burial. He saw no need in a public funeral and only wanted his family to attend. His final wishes were honored.

I lived on Roanoke Island for many years. About 500 yards from Andy Griffith's driveway entrance. He was a very private man. Even when we would bump into him on occasion at a grocery store or gas station, he wasnt very approachable. You were lucky to even get a hello back from him.

I've heard that John Belushi was originally laid to rest on Martha's Vinyard, but his brothers eventually decided to relocate and rebury his casket alongside their parents in a cemetery outside of their hometown of Wheaton, Illinois. Another grave that was secret for a long time was the grave of Charles Lindbergh. At one time it was hard to find his grave unless you found someone who lived close to it and was willing to give you directions. He is buried in a small grave yard and church in Maui, HI on Hana Coast. Charles picked his gravesite near the ocean in Maui before he died because he thought it was a beautiful place. **Like this video because I am in their age range and liked them all.

My family member loved Dale Sr. and ended up losing his racing friend 8 months later to the same injuries in a wreck while fighting for the lead with Dale Sr's eldest son, Kerry. Allegedly, HAANS devices weren't officially mandatory until Blaise was killed and his father pushed NASCAR to add the safer barriers sooner than they planned after the wrecks so no one else would lose their son the way he lost his.

The Indian Head Logo on the sides was used with permission of The Santa Fe Railway, who originated it in the 1930's for their premier Los Angeles to Chicago passenger train. I was in the infield between turns 3 and 4 when Earnhardt wrecked, my husband was taking pictures and has a series of 6 shots which show Sterling didn't touch him in that moment, Dale's tire hit the apron and it shot him up into the wall. This wreck was caused by Earnhardt himself, Marlin did not cause it. Earnhardt was blocking and came down to block Marlin. I'm not a Sterling Marlin fan but get tired of everyone blaming him for the wreck that killed Earnhardt.

Wow, what a story, what an experience. I may be in the minority, but I never blamed anyone for Dale's death. It was all about the grief and loss, inevitable as it may have seemed. Theresa had more class on the stand, even when they made her cry, than any of those vipers. Long may they rot.
