Tony I really like my AXIS with the electric starter. It took 18 months to get it, and when it arrived May of 2023 ~ it was love at first sight! LOL I am fortunate to have a Box store splitter I bought used (Troy-built) and it has a Honda 270 GX engine....I due love that engine also so I can relate to what your feelin'. Lastly, I have six of the nine Tools for the woodyard....Thanks Chris, this is where my retirement is leading too! Hahaha!!! Keith aka Cowboy Joy!

My splitter just got welded Should have it in week or two. It not a Eastonmade but a commercial grade splitter. Can’t wait to get it. I don’t do ton wood. I definitely don’t have tons of time so time is important. Great video guys.

Hi Logger Al. Surgery went great. I am under strict restrictions. Can only lift a fork and spoon. No running, playing or jumping. The difference is incredible. I am seeing things I never knew existed. Left eye will be fixed on March 13. This is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. The colors, crispness and detail is like looking through an electron microscope.

Whens the Wisconsin woodhound demo day at the woodyard or at a fairgrounds or even at our sawmill. Lots of firewood KZbinrs in WI and metsa/japa and wolf ridge. Id bring my supersplit hd and my brother could bring his woodmizerLT35 full hydraulic to demo sawing 2 cedar logs at once and mill big walnut logs. Even bring our iron mule. Could also do it at our farm/ sawmill bc we have thousands of logs piled up already. Could even demo firewood processors,splitters, chippers chipping slabwood and running our board edger.

Chris, have You's seen the Whiland Rex 600c processor? They're an awesome splitter. Eats big wood and no need for the ultra. It also has 6 second cycle time.

I’d buy an Eastonmade if they used Honda engines. They are great machines but I’m a Honda guy so I’d buy a Wolfridge when I’m ready to pull the trigger. Both top quality machines.

Wayne. I had the same feelings until I found the Split-Fire 2265 with log lift. I’ve had box store splitters for 40 years but bought one of these last year. Commercial quality at a semi reasonable price. I love the bi directional splitting, no need to pull the wood back. Super fast, I run it on half throttle most of the time. Easy to move around too. I’ve split 36 inch logs on it.

I don't doubt this is good equipment, just hard to get the math to work for a $13k splitter when selling part time. I also have some concerns that the price and demand of splitters will fall when all the Ash trees are gone.
