This is actually nice. I remember I one had a neurosurgeon come to speak to my class when I wad in highschool. Dude barely talked about his job and the things about it and turned it into a "Red meat is evil, and you should be vegan" lecture within 10 minutes. I was pissed, because I wanted to know about what he did for a living. I even called him out about halfway through and asked "so are you here to talk about your job or are you just here to preach about being a vegan, because if it's the latter, I'll be in the office." If you could give us like 2 dozen more of these videos, I'd appreciate it greatly.

I have falllen to the "other side of the fence" as an acute care provider for dinosaur worthy years!, I'm now the patient...with more gratitude than I can express esp. to my neurosurgery team, the many healthcare providers I now work with...family & friends .. I should be on life support or a quad!... but I'm on my phone on YOU TUBE!! I don't know how to thank anyone enough! My PSA...don't ignore red flags!! Don't ignore little things & be GRATEFUL for the DEDICATED HEROS ( in my book) who have dedicated their careers, sacrificed their lives, and their families time, to share their gifts, their knowledge their SKILLS,.... to give others a new chance to live!❤ Thank you Dr Hoeflinger!!

I lost my son at 18 months to a brain tumor called astrocytoma, many years ago. His surgeon was so compassionate and also the pediatrician. I knew there was never a case that was cured as the tumor was in his brain stem. We had 9 more months with him because of everything was done for him. I have so much respect for doctors and nurses like you. Thank you for all you do.

The last resort could be the last moments of a persons life because they waited to long for the surgery to help. Sometimes surgery should be top priority. I'm struggling with that quest now. Do I or don't I? The outcome could be the same either way. One would just possibly be faster. There's never a guarantee. What would you do?

His expertise is probably why he said that. I’ve known people with painful bulging/ruptured/herniated disc. Family doc might order therapy, he might stabilize the spine to relieve the pinched nerve from the herniation, then do therapy as an example
