I had the opportunity to buy numerous bikes. Pivot Firebird was one. I test rode it but it wasn't a good fit for the terrain in the Austin, Texas area. It was WAY TO MUCH Bike for green, blue, and definitely XC riding. If I lived near knarly terrain it would be an incredible bike! I can only imagine the ride of a downhill built Pivot.

Isn’t it funny how today Mullet is just a standard on DH bikes but when specialised released the big hit with 24” rear and 26” front in never really caught on in the race scene or DH bikes in general

I ran a 24/26 combo back then (24x3.0 Gazzi) and while on smooth terrain it was a lot of fun, when it got rough, it felt like the rear wheel got hung up on everything. These days I run a full 29er on my enduro/park bike, but maybe I'll try a mullet some day if I get another DH bike.

Some really nice looking bikes there. I like how the pivot uses an older method of using Carbon and Aluminum for the frame. The frame looks really good that way. I also like some of the other concepts like Specialized and Trek. I won't explain why I think they look really good too, but I think they should be fast.
