One huge mistake I see new people doing all the time is thinking the GP of a unit / squad reflects how they perform in combat.

Another aspect of guild Discord is having a community to just chat about the game with and celebrate when members get new GL's or relics, etc. It's fun for me to have a community of people related to this game that enjoy playing and digging into. (as other people said too, our guild plans TB and TW carefully each time to maximize wins and stars)

Understanding mods and putting good mods on your guys is so important. I have been remoddung my roster and it’s been over a year and I’m still fixing mods from how many bad mods I had. It’s helped me so much though, in the past 5ish months I’ve gone from carbonite 4 to aurodium 3.

My first guild used Line for communication, before moving over to Discord. Think I played the first two years losely before getting more serious and I started dec 2015 Nice video, going back to memory lane with this.

Mistake I made was going for JMK finishing all requirements and then realising I don’t even Wat Tambor. Massive sad 😢

i just finished unlocking JMK, man the grind was awful. i already had Wat unlocked, but the benefit to that is you get a bangin Padme team out of it which can 3* the Maul and CAT proving ground events

Coming into the game right as CLS was introduced. Those chromium packs were awesome lol, got me my first solo Pit team as well. Good Memories 😂

I think the golden era for those packs was when you could start a new account use your free one and roll for Darth nihlus get as much crystals to get another and roll for dooku. If it fails make a new account. That team was op could hit 1 in arena and get 300 crystals a day uncontested.

Mine was not understanding power bloat. Still trying to overcome from that as it's part of the game. No, you must not upgrade anything just because you have that spare gear or currency! Best advice was to go after Phoenix especially teaches you the importance of synergy. That synergy lesson is part of the Lore not equal power mistake - not point in having a 7 star Darth Vader (who I consider the strongest power from the lore) when the rest of the squad are 3 stars. Meanwhile a 3 star Phoenix team is thrashing many 'powerful' teams.

So many mistakes: - Forgoing farming to gear everyone equally (because there's green crosses and red circles and we have to make them go away). - Going for gear instead of key shards (there's a reason my Malevolence and Negotiator took so long). -Not understanding mods at all. -Not understanding Omicrons when they first came out (and now I'm stuck with Lumicron and Rolocron. That Heracron's ok now though, thanks Crex!) -Not finishing characters / teams to completion. So many gear XII characters....

Biggest mistake I made was spending credits like a nut after getting the hyperdrive bundle and not realizing how quickly they run out. And how little the game gives you.

You remember before ga that total power was looked at by top guilds? So you maxed as much as you could to get your gp up? Then they came out with that’s not good? Took me years of ftp to recover from that. On the bright side, I have random useless characters that are 7 star gear 9/10 that get picked up for new characters so I don’t have to farm as hard. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I finally bit the bullet and joined a guild using discord. It's positively correlated with a guild that cares. The officers are planning tw strategy, ROTE strategy etc. And players who are engaging are more likely to follow through. The simplest example of the difference is raid timing. We now generate enough raid tickets to consistently start one every 7-8 days. My old guild filled with casuals only started one every 10 days. That's a 10 raid rewards difference over a year!

The captian han SLANDER. He has great value, both as a req for JKL and for a GL ,i forget if it's leia or JML. Then he's also used in a cls team to 3 star a proving grounds battle.

Here's another issue some may not realize. When and where to use ability mats. Just because the character has a Zeta, doesn't mean you should give it one.

I've not run the numbers so I can't say for certain, but I'm against most packs that aren't LSB in general.

To be fair the value of chromium packs is still dropping with every new character. They used to be okay-ish thing back in the day somewhere around when the AAT raid came out (I remember when I got B2 and Sun Fac before they were farmable from them), but right now they just are super bad. With that being said CG seriously should rework how those packs operate to make them faction based or something interesting. Not to mention they should be cheaper. Especially concidered that when they accelerated characters the price of chromium packs didn't change if I recall correcly.

It was so stressful to me back then because I treated it as a collector game where I didn't really care about the gear/stars of my character, I just wanted to have them. And I remember that because I had a break for a few months and when I came back Sun Fac and B2 were in there and there weren't any places to get them other than Chromiums. It really triggered my FOMO mechanic. They propably were just marquees and I was panicking for no reason but I bought those packs just to get them.
