5 Identical Layered Cups, 5 Fluid Art Techniques 🎨 straight pour, ring pour, flip cup, ribbon pour

I made the pouring medium 2parts pva glue to 1part water by weight, and then mixed 5part pouring medium to 4part paint by weight. I added extra water to some to thin them down so the consistency of all paints was the same. I also added Spot On Treadmill Silicone to each colour.

In order of best to okay -- 4, 5, 3, 1, 2. Thank you for explaining each type of pour and executing them. If I were making suggestions, I would have put silicone in only one or two colors rather than in all, but you were applying an even testing platform so as to get comparable results across five different pouring methods. 👍😊

My two favorites are both the diagonal ones. Love the pink in the last one. Just my colour preferences, didn't like the blue or so much of the blue (or purple). Looks blue on my screen. I liked that green paint. The one you don't look is the best, you are looking past colourful cliffs into a gorge with the river flowing through. I love it!

Well said, I agree!! I like to say "Fluid art is the media for me because I tend to have a perfectionist personality, and all other art forms I end up being frustrated and disappointed in my outcome. 😑 But with Acrylic Pouring, I choose the colors, I choose the canvas, and I have a general plan, but once that paint hits the canvas, 'it takes on a life of it's own.: I just discovered Acrylic Pouring on 6/7/22 and I've already done 7 pour Paintings and posted 4 videos on my Channel! The first 2 were actually tempera paint pours because that's all I had. The next one was with Acrylic craft paints. The next one was with Acrylic Paints and it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself! Lol Happy Pouring Everyone!! 👏🤗👏🤗

Claire, it's a great video and artwork session. All 5 paintings are unique and beautiful in their own way. I just cannot pick a favorite. If I had made any one of these I would be bursting at the seems! I am not normally crazy about a ton of cells,but I love 4 and 5 because you didn't swipe or use a specific cell activator. I love 1 because of the design you got from the pour, I have never done a straight pour before. I never knew you could get such a beautiful design. I did do a ring pour before, 2, but I didn't use these beautiful colors or get this great design. 3, I adore ribbon pours and I'm not sure why. But in this one you can see all of the gorgeous colors and the lines and designs. Sorry, but I wish you had made it easier to choose, so it's your fault I can't pick a favorite because you are an outstanding artist. ❤❤❤ By the way I see a friendly monster face in 2. Kinda cat looking. 😂

It's so much fun watching to see what the results are in the end. One thing I learned is that some paints are heavier than others. I watched LeftBrainedArtist. He breaks everything down so you can understand how different colors react. Which will float on top, which are heavier, overpowering, how pearl, irredecents, opaques etc react together. He even breaks down how much paint should be used per canvas size. He's quite interesting & definately kwft brained.😅😅 You do learn alot.
