well some of us would, because we know what it's like to have nothing. I grew up in a town where homelessness is a huge thing and I would use my meal plan in college to feed them because I have nothing else to give. I'm not rich, my meal plan is covered by financial aid and it's all I have. Some of us give because we know what it's like to have nothing. The same thing with shelters. I work at a cat shelter, and I would love it if more people donated there. It's hard to keep a place running when people are selfish in a capitalist country. Capitalism was based around selfishness and arrogance. And lots of people fall for it and mock people who want to give their money to someone else. It's a sad life that those people live. they can't comprehend that some people aren't as selfish as they are.
