I'll be heading to Korea this February to teach English for 1 year! Question for you? I had no idea that Australia was even an option to teach English abroad as well? Im Canadian BTW and did my BA and MA degrees in Canada!

Hi, I've just completed my TEFL/TESOL certificate and have no idea where to go from here.. after seeing your videos im really interested in going to teach in China but i dont have a degree. How can i go about that? And which agent would you recommend for finding a teaching job in China?

Unfortunately you cannot legally teach English in China without a degree. This is a visa requirement.

Yes, it can be helpful, but you’ll need quality qualifications in addition to your IELTS score.

You need a bachelor's degree and a TEFL certificate. Some schools will also ask for proof of 12 years of schooling in English if you are a non-native speaker.

The government has been saying that they will cap international student numbers, so there’s a lot of talk in the ELICOS world about what will happen. If you are a certified teacher, I believe they still offer Skilled Visas for rural teaching assignments.

Hi ma'am I'm currently pursuing a 120hrs basic TEFL certification and as part of the course I'm also attending TESOL Canada board exam. I'm from India and I have a bachelor's degree in English literature. The problem is my degree is a 3 year undergraduate degree. I'd like to know is it acceptable in these countries. I have seen some countries accept 3 year degrees from the UK, NZ and AU but I’m not sure about India.

If you want to teach ESL, English. It’s possible to teach other languages abroad and you may or may not need to be a native speaker of that language. It depends on the type of school and visa requirements.
