So the other day i made a cake using an air fryer. It's nice but it's too sweet for me and then the next day the cake was pretty dry so what i did was: -made custard using custard flour, water and condensed milk. Stir it on fire until it's getting thicker. i didn't make it that sweet though. -in a bowl, Mixed milk and 2 eggs. Then pour that custard mixture into milk and eggs. Stir them. -Then i put the crushed cake into the mixture, making sure it's all covered and kind of thick. - i put the mixture back into the air fryer for 10 minutes. let it chill then i put it in the refrigerator. so basically i made pudding out of my failed cake. It's nice to eat when it's cold!
@stoverboo3 жыл бұрын
If the cake is dry, just poke holes in it and pour condensed milk or cream and liqueur over it, and turn it into a poke cake. There's no such thing as a dry poke cake.

@stoverboo3 жыл бұрын
If the cake is dry, don't crumble it up and spend a lot of time on it; make a poke cake out of it. Just poke holes in the top with the handle of a mixing spoon every few inches, and pour condensed milk over the top, and let it marinate for an hour or so. Or, mix condensed milk with your favourite liqueur, and pour that over the poked cake.
@pelaito25 жыл бұрын
Any ideas on how I can reutilize an undercooked cake? I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.
@stoverboo3 жыл бұрын
Put chunks of the cake on the bottom of a serving bowl and pour liqueur over it, top with jam, top that with pudding, and top the pudding with whipped cream, to make a trifle. The cake at the bottom of trifle is always soaked anyway, so it doesn't matter if it starts out more moist than usual.

Or just cover the cracked and failed birthday cake with some frosting. These hacks are so time-consuming and extra. 🤦
@dalekbusteruktom80425 жыл бұрын
I agree
@tiffany20175 жыл бұрын
I dont find them time consuming or extra at all. If im trying to make a layered cake but its cracked that would be difficult for me to fix, even with frosting its just not up to standards. I think this video showed people great opportunities of the potential people can do with “failed” cakes. They basically transformed it into another dessert. Just because youre too lazy to follow any of these recipes doesnt mean other people are
@MilkWithIce5 жыл бұрын
@@tiffany2017 Good for you, but they just showed two semi-decent cakes in the video which is I'm actually talking about. They could've make a scenario like the cake cracked when removing it in the pan. The execution of this video is pretty bad, imho.

Trash Binge Watcher Understandable. It is a bit of extra work when the cake themselves werent in that bad of a condition
@cacti38845 жыл бұрын
This is more for people who actually bake all of the time or do it for money. It actually does help, because with cracked cakes it usually means it's gross and overbaked. Some people are perfectionists. If you're just someone who buys a cake mix and doesn't care, then simply don't watch the video. A worse cake can be fixed just the same with these hacks.
