My favorite villain is always the psychotic mad schemer type. He doesn't need power, knowledge, wealth, fame or even his own life. He's just bored. The only thing that excites him is to see the world burns. He can only feel alive when others break or go mad in his schemes. He would set the house on fire while playing chess against someone to see who will break and run first.

My personal favorite type of villain is the tragic villain archetype it makes the villain sympathetic and it also gives the villain a good reason for being evil

My principle character is a diplomat much like you advisor character. He is however a neutral or goodish character. His current ambition is to become a talented and renowned character. He has negotiated for clients in a warlock deal and recently been brokering deals with Waterdeep and the Xanithar guild. ( It started small. They needed a live fish on short notice). Current projects involve getting Luskin and the Lords Alliance to discuss member possibilities. He wants to work for the open lord and work a treaty with Thay.
