Not a single EZ play? You honestly can't say these are the best reading plays. Maybe Cookiezi's Chaoz Japan score belongs there but all others are nowhere near the best.

Even if it is without ez, there is a lot of way harder plays to read... Furioso Melodia +HD by Cookiezi for example, or half of old maps...

HAWKS I agree. Also the fact that it has quite the punishing drain.. but the different stream-speeds are something that most top10k players should be able to handle, and jumps aren't particularly hard to read in general.

It’s crazy how the signification of the term « reading » has changed in 4 years, nowadays these maps would be considered tech/finger control maps Personally, the only reading map on this list for me is Chaoz Japan, the patterns on the beginning are crazy hard for me to comprehend lol (That’s just my 5 digits opinion lol)

I'm new on Osu!, Can somebody explain me what are the reading plays?

Basically I feel these plays required extremely good reading, these maps have some pretty extreme tempo changes that can be hard to predict to the player along with hidden notes that required some memory to hit

@@nolol9 ar6 dthr is not ar11. iirc, ar6+hr=ar8.4 ar8+dt=ar9.6, ar9+dt=ar10.3, so it's somewhere between 9.6 and 10.3, 10 is fairly accurate

I don't really agree with the dopamine pic. It's not really as reading intensive as it is just hard to do in general (Like matzcore). If it was my list i would switch it out with Cookiezi's Sticks and Stones play ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWm0n4WKpbOao5o ).

I'd say that it's more memorisation, don't get me wrong memory is a key part of reading, but since he couldn't see the notes before hitting them, I don't consider it a pure 'reading' play. :)

Reading is quite subjective, I have done EZ Plays in a separate video and HD adds more of a memory element into plays. No list can effectively categorize plays as most of what we perceive in plays is subjective
