1 Salve 3:40. 2 Prego 4:55. 3 Vorrei Portare Questo a Casa 6:35. 4 Ll Conto Per Favore 7:35. 5 Dov’e 8:26. per favore non pensare che tutti gli italiani urlino così mentre parlano o spiegano qualcosa, lei è solo davvero emozionata

Brand new week and brand new video on my channel!! So excited to talk with you today about some of the most useful and basic phrases and words for every occasion in Italy. I know, I know it must be intimidating at first trying to talk a new language. But I promise if you challenge yourself, Italians will be so grateful and appreciative even if you speak just a few words and phrases and that will allow you to connect to locals in a completely different way!

And I really hope you'll never leave it. I'm really moved for your expressions of affection for Italy. I think you are one of those persons who are the perfect ones to bring tourists all over Italy. You practically know it more than the most of the native Italians.

Haha! Right, bathrooms in Italy can be everywhere, with different dimensions and arrangements. I could write a book about that. They can be as big as a living room or at the end of some narrow staircase and as little as a cabinet (little cabin = piccola cabina = gabinetto = another word to say toilet, bathroom).

😂😂😂 So true! And then of course finding out how to turn on the water to wash your hands is the second part of an adventure🙈😂

Дорогая Анастасия, через три дня я буду в Риме. Я не планирую в этот приезд покупать или обновлять гардероб, но я бы с удовольствием купила несколько топов, таких как на Вас в этом видео. Подскажите, пожалуйста, где я могу найти их. Заранее благодарна.

Great advice! As someone who has traveled to Italy multiple times, I can vouch for the utility of these phrases -- especially "Il conto" since no one will ever bring you a check if you don't know it. The only problem with using "Dov'e" is that if you look and sound Italian (which I do), you may get your answer in rapid Italian and find yourself no better off than before you asked. 🤣 Last time I was in Rome I had Italian people asking me "Dov'e..." so many times I was going to wear a sign that read "English or Spanish please" for the remainder of my trip.😎
@StayFabulousTL Жыл бұрын
Hahaha! So true. Sometimes if you say something in Italian, Italians get so excited thinking you speak the language and will start talking to you like you are from here.
@RiskyBirdness11 ай бұрын
Is there a risk, if one uses these Italian phrases, that you will receive an answer in Italian and have no idea what was said? Or do Italians have an intuition about how to respond to non-native speakers? What about saying "Mi scusi, where I the restroom?" which shows that effort was made, while at the same time indicating that a response in English is requested?
@Ulysses88047 Жыл бұрын
I speak Italian fluently, but this is no advantage, because everyone thinks I am an Italian, and they don't pay anymore attention to me 😄

"Prego" means also "I pray". 😄 Well, now that I think about that, the meanings are related!
