What I appreciate about Japanese culture is the way they demonstrate the essence of their values in everything they do. They never brag, or put other cultures down; they present themselves with excellence, grace and dignity.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning "a reason for being." According to the Japanese, everyone has an ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search of self discovery and reflection. The word "ikigai" is usually used to indicate the source of value in one's life and the things that make one's life worthwhile.

I watched the series "Shogun". A very powerful movie about the true Japanese of past centuries. I recommend to everyone. Previously, in the land of the rising sun, knowledge and philosophy in general were highly valued. Now, judging by Japanese author’s channels on KZbin, this is no longer the case. In my opinion, the correct philosophy of life is that you need to try to be stronger in any adversity in life. It is difficult to remain calm when you receive unfounded and unfair criticism. Here the Japanese sages are not entirely right. In my opinion, you should always be fair in everything, both with yourself and in your relationships with others.

But when I look at the history of Japan in the World War II, it doesn't seem to be a good one.. Japan's tendency to occupy other countries and make them a colony for their raw materials, massacres by Japanese army in Manchurian region of China does not speak of a tradition or a race to be respected 🤔 Did their surrender in the second world war make them humble and polite like this, I wonder!

The man who moves a mountain starts by carrying away small stones. - Confucius Similar to... Be content to progress in slow steps until you have legs to run and wings with which to fly - Pio Petriclina First do what’s necessary, than do what’s possible, and suddenly you’re doing the impossible. - Saint Francis of Assisi Vincent van Gogh: Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together. By the yard it’s hard, but inch by inch it’s a cinch. - Les brown How do you eat a elephant, one bite at a time. - Desmond Tutu There is more honor in accumulating little by little than in reaching for the sky and ending up flat on your face. - Havamal Our problem is, when we try to tackle too much things at once we get overwhelmed, and we get discouraged and or quit, we must diligently plan and go from simple to prudence, by planning efficiently and effectively through wise counsel, if the plan is not sound, reform it by writing it down, a journal, binder and calendar, than putting what we have down in action and executing. One priority and one goal at a time, pace yourself, life is not a race but a marathon, when you get tired learn to rest, and when you are active in your pursuit, be all in in trying ti accomplish it, vigorously and unwavering, practicing discipline and steadfastness, Like leonardo davinchi said, he who is fixed to a star does not change his mind, as long as your conscience approves your conduct and what you do, having the right disciplines and upright ways, pursue your goals unto death, lioe Jim rhon said, do it until, until it gets done, rejoice in it. And move on to your next goal. All the way.

@@OmenAkumaru20223 That is true, and in essence the same concept as the philosophers, though with that quote, it had more conviction. What Jesus was saying is you have to believe you can accomplish that goal, and you will. Jesus was a miracle worker, very few men have ever accomplished the things Jesus did, he is the only one in the Bible that beat Death. Although, you have to remember, Jesus is at the end of the book, if we do not take heed to the entirety of all the prophets and the word, like Jesus said, it will all be in vain, many will say that they follow Jesus, but few know scripture, this is what he was teaching the likes. of the Jews and his Disciples, for He knew more scripture than them, and more accurately. Anyone who knows more than you is either looked at as a teacher and loved, or disagreed with and scorned, hence why most Pharisees disliked Him and even hated him, because He unlike them practiced what He preached.
