Adam (and OS team), you've absolutely nailed the 'practice with me' format; the ones you were putting out through the pandemic were fantastic, and now with this level of production and live drumming is a game changer. Very excited to see more like this and with subjects applicable to other instruments (lines/phrasing/playing changes etc). If this is a glimpse of what you have locked up in Open Studio then you're in grave danger of getting a new member!

I've played since I was 5 yrs old, always want to learn more jazzy styles (pretty chords) in my professional gigs (just the easy ways, I'm good BUT too busy with life to become like chick corea or something)... I'm 53 now and this progression made me drool. :) keep learning, moving forward. this guys great, he gets it, we don't care about the theory, just show us the groove and chords and we can take it from there. love it.

Thanks I thank you sincerely for the brilliant content. I however have an interesting question, bordering on the philosophical, here goes 1) What defines a chord a being a Jazz Chord as opposed to just a chord? can an ordinary major chord sound lile a Jazz Chord if it juxtaposed against another chord in a really unconventional or unique way? Can jazz chords be defined as such in isolation, or is it more to do with chord juxtaposition in general. Sorry for all the questions.

I realized thinking about the 7b13b9 is easier if you think a chord minor7b5 + 1 step above the root note, so in this case its just gminor7b5 on top and A on the bottom which is one step above G
