Good and very crisp info. BTW, the statement that Magento is number one platform which heavily uses XML and declarative approach for dependencies, is a little exaggeration :-). Magento just started using DI and declarative configuration. Hybris has been using IoC, DI and declarative configuration for many-2 years. It is based on the Spring framework, which started of as an IoC and DI framework (and alternative to EJBs) . Except for few things, almost everything in Hybris is built from top to bottom on/around Spring framework.
