Well spoken, Dr. Giddings. I especially love the points you make on "slow science." In some ways, the modern culture of science (i.e. more + faster = better) is a reflection of our broader social culture. The problem is, as you point out, the most impactful science almost requires deep creativity, imagination, and TIME. It's up to us as a community, to change this!
