Happy Sabbath from Philippines. Salinas SDA church pastor..Here in Cavite. Thank you for the informative notes you have shared po. Literally, the church where I am rooting for needs a revival or be born again pastor, structurally and spiritually. Structurally because 2 weeks ago, we lost the lot where the church is being built because it had been sold to other entity. Now we are renting a place for Sabbath worship. I say spiritually because right now, I believe all of us..Adventist..around the globe needs to evaluate our attitude towards evangelism..what is the most effective way to reach out to our fellow men. To preach the Good News of Jesus Christ. My prayers pastor to bless us always with peace that passeth understanding.

Hello. If you want to know what would convince a non-believer that your god/religion/holy book was the exclusive truth, ask yourself what evangelism would convince _you_ that SOMEONE ELSE'S god/religion/holy book was the exclusive truth? In other words, what level of evidence or type of discovery would I have to present to convince you Wei Tuo was the one true god? Or the divinity of Joseph Smith? Or accept the _Quran_ as the sacred text? Any honest answers?

Thanks for the comment. I believe that actions are louder than words. We can teach people, preach to people and explain our God/religion/holy book but if we only talk the talk and not walk the walk, then there is no true power in what we say. But the evidence is in the persons life. When our lives reflect our God, when we demonstrated His true character of love, and when we allow the Holy Spirit to use us to touch the hearts of individuals, along with prayer, I believe people will be convinced of the truth. But they still have to make the choice to accept it or not. Jesus said "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:35)

Then CHOOSE _to believe_ in the Invisible Bigfoot that lives in my backyard (saying "I choose NOT to believe" avoids the challenge; the challenge is TO believe) You can't because you are genuinely unconvinced he is real. Both of us were 'created' to be incapable of choosing to accept things as real that we are not personally convinced of. @@humbleevidenceaccepter7712 Hi! To answer the Zeus question: If that's what Zeus teaches then that's what a disciple of Zeus should do. As a Christian, my duty is to reveal God's character of love in my life to all and let the Holy Spirit work on people's hearts and do the convincing. For me, I've always believed that there was a God but growing up I never knew who He was personally. It was not until a friend of mine, who was a Christian, shared with me some sermon's tapes that challenged me to get to know God and Jesus more. I started to do my own research and from what I've studied I personally became convinced that the Bible was indeed God's Word. As I followed what God was showing me, in prayer and in faith, I experienced a transformation in my life. I cannot explain everything, but I do believe that God has shown me enough evidence to believe in Him and to follow Him. And for the Bigfoot comment: I agree and I don't expect people to believe or choose something they are not genuinely convinced of. But like I stated earlier I had to do my own research and I became convinced myself. Hope this helps you understand where Im coming from. Blessings!
