Her style seems perfect for clay. And the forehand spin will definitely help her dominance.

She's halfway there, and she still has like 10 years of playing to do it 😊 I hope she's gonna beat Chrissy's 7 RG record at some point

Seems likely but depends on health. I thought in 2020, the female rafa, immediately. It took time, but its worth the wait.

I agree. In addition to that and although not mentioned in the video, Roger is certainly the most virtous player with rising balls on the men's circuit and Iga reminds me more of him, then Agassi or Djoko.

Thanks for so deep and clear insight in the Iga's technique. But there's much more what makes her so succesful on the court. I believe it's her ability to read opponents and react properly. The way she made Gauff look pathetic was just clinical - just aim on her forehand, which is Coco's weak point, and she was helpless.

Pzdr.

Thanks Simon, very nice that you analyze what makes players distinguished from the rest. It is a real gem. You talk about her extreme racquet head speed; The racquets are extensions of players' arms, and bodies; and they are kind of prostheses. Therefore I have also a keen interest in how they make racquets fit their play and their body. If you also extend your analysis into this aspect(what type of racquet, how is that customised, strings, specs etc.) I would like it as I'm extremely curious about this inside topic of star players. Thanks so much!!!✨👍🙏

3:50 I do a sideways shuffle to get to BH returns my legs don't cross - unless its a real dive in which case I push off with the left foot and then my legs cross over as per your first example.
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial 7 ай бұрын
The main thing to avoid is stepping across too early which blocks your reach
@spooky1304
@spooky1304 7 ай бұрын
@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Yeah. I think its a shuffle - I've never filmed myself. I think I push off with the left foot either way and either shuffle or cross step. Bear in mind I'm a 1 hander so even if I did step over with the right foot first I can still reach a long way - that would be more likely on a dive and would end in a very closed stance. Does that make sense..? Bit hard to describe.
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial

It does, but without stepping out firstly with your outside leg, you’ll never get the body weight behind the return. I cover it in more detail here - m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2HJpGiNbNd8qM0

What do you think she can do to have a better time on especially grass and somewhat hardcourt?
@maciekszymanski8340
@maciekszymanski8340 7 ай бұрын
Iga is an ambitious person. She'll find the way to play on any surface. Tbh the grass court is an abandoned clay court ;)
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial 7 ай бұрын
I think she needs to continue improving her serve, something she’s already been doing. A low slice BH would be a great addition to her game for grass, and coming to net more often to apply extra pressure to opponents. Flattening out her shots would also help, but that takes a lot of work when you’ve modelled your game so much on Rafa

1. Iga won every biggest hard court tournament other than AO, she's more accomplished than Sabalenka/Rybakina on hard (Sabalenka lacks IW/Miami/USO/Beijing/Finals) 2. Iga doesn't take Wimbledon seriously in 2024 due to Olympic Games on RG courts. Her father had a chance for Olympic medal as an olympic rower but couldn't start due to his partner's failure of some kind (injury or other idk) He made Iga especially wanting that olympic medal + we treat Olympic Gold much higher than Grand Slam title in Poland, no bigger honor.

Iga's results are admittedly impressive on any surface but "The Queen of Clay"? Before we bestow that title upon her let's keep a proper perspective by not overlooking the accomplishments on this surface by Chris Evert. Her records at the French Open, despite skipping two years for World Team Tennis, and at the US. Open, when it was played on clay, will require superhuman results over an incredible amount of time to match. Iga is great but good luck matching the Evert numbers.

What a bs, Iga is today like 3 times better than she was while Ashleigh was still playing. Both physically and mentally. Back than she was coached by Piotr Sierzputowski, pretty good coach, but he was unable to fully unlock her potential. Since she get into Tomasz Wiktorowski hands, everything just explode. Btw noone forced Ashleigh to retire...maybe she saw, that she won't be able to compute with Iga in future and that's why she gived up.😋

Furthermore Iga can improve and so was Barty too 😅😅😅😅. and if barty retired, there are plenty of interviews of her explaining that and it certainly not the fear of Iga hahahhah... like Fed would have retired when you couldnt beat nadal in french open ahahha..hilarious you are..

@@andreandree4384so who would dominate tennis if Barty would stay? Barty? C’mon. She has retired because she knew wat is coming.
