My "worth it" list: LaMer Soft Fluid Foundation, Chanel Loose Powder, Guerlain L'or Primer, ANY Wayne Goss brush (I have all of them and 2 of some), Tom Ford bronzer brush, Sonia G "2" brushes and 90% of Charlotte Tilbury anything. My "not worth it" list: any Tom Ford Lipstick (I've had way too many go bad in a short amount of time), Natasha Denona is iffy for me because of the inconsistency, Louboutin anything though I haven't tried the brand because I'm not pay that $$$$ for a name. As a fellow cruelty- free buyer I love the idea in theory, but very few of the mainstream luxury brands are cruelty free - even fewer for those who are vegan &/ or don’t purchase from brands w/ non- CF parent companies - so there wouldn’t be much to choose from. There are definitely additional options at the luxury price point in the “green beauty” realm, but those rarely get attention outside of the cruelty-free &/ or vegan &/ or green beauty community...

I agree with your feelings on Joe Malone. Never cared to buy any of them. I love the Sisley powder! I use it in the darkest shade. Nice and light on my oily acne-prone skin. I hate heavy powders.

Bonjour Mel! Same :Guerlain météorites ,No; Jo Malone ,I didn't know!(now i understand why it doesn't last on me,lol!) Tatcha,Yes!!! ; TF,Yes!!! Viseart ,their mattes are good, i never try their shimmers, I will try Sisley. and of course PML!! great video. Bonne journée! Bisous!

I completely had the same experience with a couple of your "not worth the money" items. The first is the pink beaded Guerlain primer. It made my skin look worse and every single one of my foundations would roll off my skin. The other is the Jo Malone fragrances. I just don't care for their fragrances except for one. I love high end cosmetics and appreciate your thoughts so thank you!

Hi Mel, loved the video as always. For me Viseart GrandPro 1 totally worth it. Sorry but ND eye palettes are a pass for me. Played with the Safari palette at work today. It just didn’t wow me😕. I do agree about Jo Malone and I feel that way about Replica as well. Anyway can’t wait for your next video☺️
@venuss20006 жыл бұрын
Blasphemy! Lol Replica "Beach Walk" is life😅.. I actually really love that one. I'm surprised to find someone who doesn't. That's actually kinda cool😊

Great video. Bought the La Prairie powder - expensive but you get the travel compact and lots of product - thought it was just me - drying and cakey no matter what application approach I used - stored in the back of my makeup shelf - it will now be moved to the “give away” section. Also Jo Malone - live the scents but it just doesn’t last. Thanks for your candor and honesty, Mel. BTW love, Love the TF Cocoa Mirage and his Golden Mink.

Viseart shimmer Eyeshadows are not good (for the price). I agree. They perform like cheap ones. I have one of the mini’s and never use it. I am astonished with the new launch of the Grand PRO 2, all shimmer. 🙄 I don’t think we see a lot of reviews of it....

I totally agree with you about the Jo Malone fragrances! The scent does not last and the price is exorbitant! I fee the same way about Elizabeth and James fragrances, too. Great video! Thank you!

I was shook when you mentioned Jo Malone 😂 but I totally agree with you! My fave one is the Mimosa and cardamom but it only lasts about 7hrs on my body :/

Are all the tom ford quads worth it or is the cocoa mirage specifically great. I’ve been eyeing the honeymoon one
@elainebines68036 жыл бұрын
Yes - i'd be interested in that too - love the tom ford eyebrow pencil but I have to reapply throughout day 🙄
@annmarieg.4476 жыл бұрын
I have honeymoon and bought it because the colors were SO BEAUTIFUL in the pallet, but unfortunately a dud for me though!!! But I'm a glitter girl, and love his quads with some sparkle!! I just can't seem to work his honeymoon one right!! Now, won't quote me, but if you look back I think Mel does have a honeymoon pallet showing video. (But like I said I could be wrong and it may have been Tati!) Look in the history in the videos!! Good Luck Girl!!!

I need to get the skin caviar foundation now. So funny too bc I was looking at that guerlain primer like 2 days ago!I love the lor, I've gone through 2 of them. I don't like jo malone fragrances to be honest. Granted I haven't sniffed each and every scent but I just haven't found one I vibe with. Channel mademoiselle was my holy grail go to errrrday scent for like 10 years lol but I've actually found a new scent in this year from narsisco Rodriguez for her. the black bottle. I'm obsessed with it. Awesome video love! My hubby may not agree when I go buy a 200 hundred dollar foundation but he can just never mind. Lol 😁😁

Chanel hydra beauty lip balm. Totally worth it. The only thing that keeps my lips hydrated and smooth. Agree on the Tacha. People can't believe I'm 55 years old because my skin looks so nice (and I don't wear foundation, I just use the Tatcha as a moisturizer).

I do really like the Viseart Theory palette I own in Amethyst. And I *love* the two Petite Pro palettes of theirs that I have (the babies with 8 very small pans for $30). I think it bears mentioning though that I'm "Of a certain age," and can't get away with super-intense shimmers, foils, glitters, and sparkles on my lids anymore (Oh, but In my day...!). Someone who counts on those intense finishes, I can definitely see being disappointed in those palettes. But for me, the "just in between" shimmers are exactly right.
