What is the difference between setting powder and finishing powder? Loved these hacks! First time watching you.

A setting powder is used to set your makeup where as a finishing powder is typically used to blur or create a soft focus type effect. Though they can be used similarly and many will give a similar effect and benefits, a finishing powder is more about the way it changes the look on the skin vs. keeping the make up for longer wear

Mixing the powder with the foundation was a first for me. I'll definitely try it👍❤️. I have really oily skin. What would you recommend to maintain a matte finish even after applying translucent powder and primer? The foundation I use is for oily skin.

Try a mattifying setting spray. There may not be just one product or one technique, you may have to try several different things in combination. And definitely don’t shy away from touching up with your powder or setting spray throughout the day or use blotting papers. That said, the best thing to do is to control the issue in your skin care, rather than try to cover it with make up. Many people with oily skin feel that they need to use oil free products and can over-dry the skin which actually causes it to produce MORE oils to compensate. The best advice I have is to use a two-step cleanse where you start with an OIL based cleanser followed by a water based cleanser.

Do you do your skincare right before your makeup? Skincare should be done a few hours before your makeup to make sure your skin absorbs the products so that it doesn’t mix with your makeup and cause it to separate
