You do realise that you can own any unclassified military aircraft, as long as you do two things. 1. Remove all classified or otherwise protected military equipment. 2. Unless you want to register your aircraft as a destructive device and pay for a $200 tax stamp. Remove the targeting pod and/or weapon stations depending on the aircraft. The only real limiting factor is money.

So it seems like a lot of people ignored the fact that the last aircraft is going to be used as a military trainer. But even if you do ignore that all of these aircraft have bubble canopy’s, highly maneuverable, and two seats with one behind the other. Not to mention some of these aircraft have flight controls that resemble an f16 layout with throttle on the left and flight stick on the right. There’s also the other ones that have a flight stick in between your legs like an f15. It shouldn’t be that incredibly hard for any one to tell that these resemble fighter jets.

I love your videos, but you have one habit that unfortunately sets off my OCD. You keep saying "knots per hour". Knots are nautical miles per hour. It's already 'per hour'. So in my head you keep saying "nautical miles per hour per hour". Just say knots, that's how the word is used.
@PaulAnthonyDuttonUk6 жыл бұрын
Chatsu8o So can't be knots per year then? A knot is a measure of distance only. You can record the knot against what ever time scale you choose. Time scales are not implied just commonly inferred.
@Chatsu8o6 жыл бұрын
Not to be blut but... No. Knots are specifically defined to be 1 nautical mile PER HOUR. See here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knot_(unit) If you change that, you're changing the very definition of what a knot is. Edit: and it most definitely IS NOT a measure of distance. The "nautical mile" is the measure of distance within a knot. But the knot ties the distance and the time together to form a unit of speed.
@PaulAnthonyDuttonUk6 жыл бұрын

Admiral George Anson used the term in his book Anson's Voyage Round the World (1748), Captain James Cook used the expression in his book Voyages, (1790), Charles Darwin, used the term in his book The Voyage of the Beagle, (1839), and these are the top echelon of nautical people of their times.

@@cucumberman1234567 I have to say that is a very good comment :) Rarely have I seen two people that were both so right :) As a conclusion I want to add that obviously the unit "knot" means "nautical mile per hour" which is a bit unprecise. But at the same time you have to admit, that "knot" in its original utilization wasn't a distance either. I mean a knot was just a thingy in a line you threw into the water. So even back then they called it knot but instead should have called it "distance between two knots" which obviously seemed a bit too complicated I guess. But today a "knot" in relation to the SI system is well defined and the usage here was wrong.

i'm not native english speaker, my english is classic (academic), i dont get your playing on words, i suppose its something negative , due to your name sounding american, lately you guys are becoming more & more this way, exept few of you (the smart ones as mike of this channel MojoGrip), to whom i have lot of respect.

Youcef Berkani So, You’re equating “Smart one’s” with one’s usage of Grammar and/or “playing on words”& you don’t even KNOW What’s being said/posted? Really? Seriously, if you’re using the term “academic” with ignorance [Your’s], then might I suggest you stay in school or stop being negative regarding things you’re obviously ignorant of! You don’t have a clue if Ronald’s being positive or negative, yet you castigate him as a matter of course. YES, ...I’ve made-up my mind, you SHOULD stay in school.🇺🇸

Knots is already an indication of speed as in nautical miles per hour equals knots. Just thought I’d mention it.

#1 "It does look like a fighter jet" Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm what about no ?
@KaDaJxClonE6 жыл бұрын
Some of these look like the trainers used by the military to simulate early ww2 light fighters. But mostly look like modern aerobatic planes.

Checkout the Pilatus PC-21 Turboprop 425mph Jet-Like Swiss Trainer. The lines of this Shark are a Spot-On Match!

Yeah, training planes, look cool and must be cool to handle
@ThisNewHandleSystemSucks6 жыл бұрын
_ VesBraun The problem with that is that those aren't fighter jets. They do not utilize jet engines.
@ProDjMx6 жыл бұрын
What about the A-10, not usual jet engines but still, I think, a fighter jet.

No thanks you can buy a real P51 for less money and have a real fighter!!
@zylerchapman32056 жыл бұрын
Not for less money. P-51's are usually $5,000,000 to $7,000,000.

I intend to purchase a P-51, a P-47, a Corsair, a Hellcat, and well lots more. Yes, I am aware of the price.

anglosax100 if there was a p51 for less than 1 million i would probably already have it

Unfortunately, that is an unlikely thing to happen.

The F104 is one of the sexiest fighter jets imo.

No, the USAF C-119 was the Flying Coffin (actually Boxcar). Worked on one with the P&W 4360 engines - that's 3,500hp each. Plus, made one Free Fall jump from one over Hondo, Texas. We flew out of Kelly AFB, Tx. without the clam shell door on. Was a fun jump.

Cacon 123 "fighter jet" but no "jet" engine 🤔
@zylerchapman32056 жыл бұрын
I think they do. They look like primary trainer aircraft like the T-6 Texan, T-27, and T-35.
@acarl1006 жыл бұрын
These all resemble the Brazilian Tucano which is a military pilot trainer ,,, hence military style ...
@maximilianbeyer92686 жыл бұрын
Cacon 123 what about the beechcraft t6 or the pilatus pc9? They are military trainers and light attack aircraft and i think these ultralights look quite similar to them

@liquidleopard44956 жыл бұрын
Probably not.
@SidestickPilot6 жыл бұрын
64wing yes, I believe he has a private ticket. I’m sure he’s using the term to those who don’t understand what “Knots” are as he typically gives MPH as an example which is rarely used in aviation.

No. Tarragon airplane is being sold as "experimental", but development/design is related with some very minor parts. This is comlpete plane anyway with simply continuous improvement for submodels.

"Military style"? Hmm... someone needs to work on their basic aviation knowledge.
@michaelweston60836 жыл бұрын
Wait, for the first one it is an ultralight? Like no license or registration?
