Hey, Quazii - Pwarr still prios SS over TC on AOE because the rage generation is integral to CDR. Wasting an SS by using TC as priority is suboptimal. The only time you really don't look at SS is on CDs that trigger GCD like ThR and ShCh, Demo, or Ravager. - SR does not lose its 20% DR on a reflect or deflect, they've separated them into different auras now so you can use it for the mitigation even in spam-caster packs. - Lose Second Wind in any non PVP build. Taking Overwhelming Rage actually gives you lots of extra headroom for making sure you're still landing SS resets without overcapping and goes a long way in smoothing out rage management during huge rage like lust + windfury.

@@Tattmann Crit is more DR than vers for a prot war, and more DPS. You do of course need a bit of verse because of how multiplicative damage modifiers work, but it should not be prioritized.

they changed spell reflect awhile ago. its 2 distinct buffs now. reflecting a spell still leaves you with the DR buff for its full duration.

Make sure to skip spellblock in a variety of dungeon where you can get more value from spiked shield or bolster (atal dazar/brh).

Your Thunderclap applies it automatically if talented and is boosted by your other increased bleed damage effects. I just ran a vaults m2 on my prot warrior (only 476 ilevel at the moment). Rend was my #1 damage source and I never touched the spell directly

Hey man, have you noticed Execute doesnt trigger its cooldown on the WA? It glows when its available, but it never shows its cooldown swipe or saturation.

So warrior is just a straight forward as usual. I just got a warrior to 70 and I hit 430 Ilvl and I feel like my damage isn't there at all. Is there any sets or trinkets I should keep an eye out for while running the LFR raid or M+'s??

In season 3 you can get enough haste + „into the Frey“ to actually skip HR in M+ to the benefit if dmg, gcd and cdr. My 458 warrior alt already has 50+% haste with. 5 stacks easily maintaining shieldblock. And that will be even more on higher gear. But you should stop gearing for haste at 40%. From then it’s too much DR. The aim should be 40% haste and 40% Vers. The rest doesn’t really matter.

Prot warrior or blood DK atm? In every site they are like 3x more BDK playing every mythic, Prot war are barely seen in raid rankings in wowlogs

I have a VDH at 2500, but I'm just working on my warrior now. Make sure you are taking all the rend/bleed talents. If your survivability is fine, spend rage on revenge rather than ignore pain. Also keep in mind that revenge is a frontal. Whirlwind and thunderclap are 360 abilities. I think it also makes sense to tab target through your groups and be generous with your shield slam. It practically feels like a taunt. Also, I think warrior is a very proactive tank, not just for damage reduction, but also for overall play style. The prot warrior should be out in front of the group picking up the next pull while the group finishes off the last one. Last idea, make sure you are in battle stance. If you are already doing all of this, remember that you have the unique challenging shout to get aggro on you of everyone around you.

@@eaberrydc Battle stance?? I use defensive stance. Dont you die in battle? Now, most of my rage goes into offensive abilities, i havent even used ignore pain untill 16 keys, where I started to feel the pain. But my aggro took a nose dive with damage dealers in their ilvl 470+. I use the Icy Veins mythic spec, and it seems I either stay alive and lose aggro, OR keep aggro barely and die... With my VDH it is better, I got to full 20s, but more than that I start to lose aggro with ppl in their ilvl 480+. Sometimes. But VDH has more tools, so it's fine. In all, I feel Blizzard kind of nerfed aggro, and I dont know why...

I'm no expert but having gotten my vdh to 2500 and prot warrior to 2k in previous seasons (playing with him now), the dh has a much broader tool kit for sure. But battle stance is your basic stance with defensive used as a damage reduction cool down. It increases your damage by like 10% and your threat accordingly.
