They eliminated the damage penalty for Defensive Stance on Protection Warrior. You only get a measly 3% crit being in Battle Stance, versus a 16% damage reduction, and that crit doesn't contribute to Parry. I'd argue it's better to run D-Stance, and funnel rage more offensively.

Should be mentioned that Crit also increases rage regen which in turn makes your Ignore Pain uptime higher. But Vers is good, you need both to some extent typically.

You mentioned at ~16:32 that Spell Reflect is consumed if you reflect something, thats no longer true as of DF. The damage reduction lasts regardless of whether you reflect or not, making something that you can reliably use to reduce magic damage as needed.

Shild Charge Also grants You Shild Block Duration if You talented if you new tank it will help you with Shild Block uptime ; Note You can Intervene PPl on First Boss in necrotic Wake they take 0 dmg if you do

Reminder shield block increases shield Slam dam by 30% keep that shiz up 100% if you can it should be part of the rotation. Also d stance is a very very low dps loss just a bit of crit lost.

In the video you said that defensive stance causes you to deal less damage, but that isn’t true anymore, they removed that negative effect of defensive stance. In battle stance, you still get the additional 3% crit, but you do not deal less damage in defensive stance anymore.

Haven't played since Wrath Of The Lich King lol...been years! I loved tanking with my prot warrior! I sometimes struggled with large groups of mobs, but otherwise it was such a blast! One of my biggest issues I had, and I'm sure I'll still have it when I jump back into the game here soon...is I become tunnel visioned and was always staring at my abilities to keep track of my cooldowns...and as raids became increasingly complex, I couldn't keep up! I had a really hard time paying attention to anything but my action bars. /grrrr

So i main prot warrior since DF and this xpac my own friend tried a healer he healed me a bit on both dps and tank. His biggest outtake from when he was with any other prot warriot is they didn't use IP like it's intended, As prot warrior you can keep both SHield block and ip up effectively 100% of the time unless you are taking insane damage.It's one thing even i notice on people leveling as prot or even doing mid to low keys on at max level. IP blocks 50% of damage you can sit at almost max health forever as prot if you aren't pushing yourself in higher content

We need a masterclass on tanking etiquette in PUGs. Like "Just cause you can run to the end of the dungeon, doesn't mean you should when you're playing with strangers." People trying to learn new dungeons/prep for harder content and instead we're stuck with absolutely brain rotted morons trying to pull the entire dungeon in 3 pulls. Getting chain stunned by giant beetles from 50 feet away, or pulled out of stealth by the 45 mobs chasing the tank is real fun when it completely ruins your opener as an Assassination Rogue.

I don't think this happens much outside of heroics. An when I have seen in it M+ PUGs, the tank usually dies.

@quazii WoW - How do you only have 17 spells on your bars? For example you doesn't have execute, champion spear, berserker rage (for clearing fear off yourself), heroic throw (for pulling far away mobs), taunt (for emergency gimmie back aggro before you die situations), you don't even have ignore pain. How is this possible?

For ignore pain, heroic throw, and execute: these buttons have no cooldown. There's no real reason to have the icon displayed. Knowing how much rage they cost is all that's necessary since you can just look at your rage bar to see when they're available. Same thing goes for any other builder-spender specs. If there's no cooldown on the icon, why would you need to see the icon? As for berserkers rage, i'd argue that you only need it for fear removal, which isn't going to happen often, and the button will likely be off cooldown by then. For Guardian's spear, you generally use it alongside Ravager, which has the same cooldown time. And I can see that he's tracking Ravager on his WA.
