I don't think this was a homerun but I like your thinking. I've been installing/repairing appliances for 22 years. I've gone through more mods than I can remember trying to find better ways to organize my truck/van/trailer. Every brand of tool bag, etc. I have been using mostly veto pro pac this last decade. I've got 6 so far. Keep up the good work. There is no such thing as perfect but the struggle along the way is rewarding I will definitely subscribe because I see creativity in you.

Hey bud cool deal ! I believe you’ve got the ticket on what I believe is the only drawback w/ the Packout and one of the things with all the others. Getting YOUR stuff in these things the way you need it . Sure The big M’s got totes and bags; hell I just scored me the 10” tote for 40$, but still it’s M’sway and whatever they’ve decided should fit where. Keep it up man , I like what you doing here.

HAHA! Actually the entire video was shot on top of a DGI OSMO gimbal. I free handed the intro/outro but the majority was shot with the gimbal on a tripod.

How is it supposed to work when the bag hangs lower than the storage container?

Because this would typically be mounted up on top of another box. Or, it would be put higher up on the rail. Or you may have an accessory that is not nearly as long as the bag I used for demo purposes.

I'm thinking of getting 2 of your universal mounts and getting a piece of 2 inch flat stock and making a side rail. Then I can put 2 or 3 Toughbuilt clips on it.

Other than for personal satisfaction. There is no practical reason. But i'd know it was there and I take a lot of pride in the fit and finish of everything I make/do. Even the parts that can't be seen!

Hell Sasaki, I don't understand the question. To my knowledge there is only one toughbuilt connector. So i am not sure what other configurations you are referring to.

Can you tighten it down to hold it in place? Rather than it just having to be at the bottom of the rail?

Yes! That is what I would recommend doing. The kit includes the screws to do so. I did not fasten it because I use this packout for all my photos and videos so I don't leave anything on it permanently! I thought I mentioned that, but I may have edited it out by accident lol

Tightening those two bolts is strong enough to grab that bar and hold it it place? Or are you talking about literally screwing right through the bar(you mention permanently)? Perhaps some spacers would solve this.

@@Mister_Y These 3D printed parts use self tapping screws that go into the aluminum extrusion! They hold super well but it is a permanent mod. That said, I am working on an new design for these that will use a set screw instead that bites into the rail, rather than drills into it. So you don't void the warranty!

with all due respect why do I need your part? couldn't a guy just bolt or self tap screw the tough built clip strait to the aluminum bar? seems to be just more money down the drain

Well a lot of folks would disagree cause I sell a lot of these. Yes you could do that, but it will void your warranty, it arguable will not be as strong and it 100% will not look nearly as nice or clean/professional. Something a lot of folks care about wanting to look presentable when going into clients spaces. It also allows you to put the bag parallel to a side of the box, which your method does not allow for, and it takes up less space that way and is also less in the way of the latches and easier to get through doorways without catching on things.
