'Passacaille', the fifth and last of the 'Cinq Petites Entropies' for viola d'amore by Garth Knox. These pieces are composed following the laws of Entropy, meaning that each movement moves (quite rapidly) from simple to complex, or from order to chaos. They all start from the same simple note, D.
This one is mostly in natural harmonics (with a tuning of F,D,A,d,f,a,d) on an eight bar bass cycle.
Performed live by Garth Knox, viola d'amore, at the Brussels Conservatoire, November 2019
