Praise God, what a great testimony you have! Seeing comments like this warms my heart, I was raised in church from a young age and turned away from God and the teachings of Jesus Christ, it was once my life fell apart I went back to Jesus ashamed of my mistakes and he welcomed me back with open arms. God bless brother, I can only pray to share the same grace and forgiveness to others as Jesus has shown unto me

My grandfather was a physicist who didn’t believe in God. He seemingly had a rational scientific explanation for everything. As he got older he shared with me that the more he tried to disprove the existence of God the more evident it became to him that God exists. In his final days he took solace in the fact that through his younger years of trying to disprove or explain away the devine God he actually proved his existence. Once he retired sometimes I would see him sitting for hours upon hours reading and studying the Bible when I would go visit him and my grandmother. He wanted to learn all he could about his creator. He would try to read anything he could get his hands on pertaining to Jesus Christ. His prayers were very important to him. He was always a kind and funny person, but I noticed over the years after he found God he had this spark of life in him and he appreciated the nuances of life more. The man went to his grave baptized and a firm believer in God and his only begotten son. His life's journey had taken him home back to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All praise be to God the Almighty, through him all things are possible.

I was born into a Muslim family and it was forced upon me. I never felt a connection to God. Never felt my soul being loved by God. Lost all faith in religion and adopted the mantra "do good be good" and still felt empty. I was beyond discouraged but I still believed there was a God. I believe in him because of how I got my name. My parents went to get a pregnancy check up on me and it didnt go as planned. They wanted to run some more tests but some tests came back with news that one of three things would happen (I cant remember which one): I would be born with a hole in my heart, I would be born with scoliosis, or I would be born mentality handicapped and would need help my whole life. Of course my parents where distraught and worried about their future child. My dad left the room to let my mom get some sleep and as she was sleeping, she heard someone call her name. She wakes up and looks around and doesnt see anyone. So she starts to relax and almost falls asleep again. She hears her name being called again. This time she shot up and was like ok maybe im just exhausted and anxious and im hallucinating because no one is here. Once again she starts to relax again and almost falls asleep and she said she heard "Amy. You will have a healthy baby boy and you will name him Jibril." This name has protected me during 9/11 because i was supposed to be named Hussein. God has lead me to the path of salvation through suffering and even being disowned by them, he was guiding me to live according to his plan. I have never felt so spiritually, physically, and emotionally full until i accepted Jesus Christ this year. God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.

I was an atheist, what brought me to now be a christian is being a professional software engineer and AI researcher. I realized that humans have tried to make AI in their own image, just as God created us in his image. That our universe was created, the same as I created universes containing AI. It's the same paradigm, and unless I reveal myself to the AI, they have no idea I am here and that I crafted their universe.

Godhead The first article of faith of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints states, “We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.” These three beings make up the Godhead. They preside over this world and all other creations of our Father in Heaven. Latter-day Saints view the members of the Godhead in a manner that corresponds in a number of ways with the views of others in the Christian world, but with significant differences. Latter-day Saints pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. They acknowledge the Father as the ultimate object of their worship, the Son as Lord and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as the messenger and revealer of the Father and the Son. But where Latter-day Saints differ from other Christian religions is in their belief that God and Jesus Christ are glorified, physical beings and that each member of the Godhead is a separate being. The true doctrine of the Godhead was lost in the apostasy that followed the Savior’s mortal ministry and the deaths of His Apostles. This doctrine began to be restored when 14-year-old Joseph Smith received his First Vision (see Joseph Smith-History 1:17). From the Prophet’s account of the First Vision and from his other teachings, we know that the members of the Godhead are three separate beings. The Father and the Son have tangible bodies of flesh and bones, and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit (see Doctrine and Covenants 130:22). Although the members of the Godhead are distinct beings with distinct roles, they are one in purpose and doctrine. They are perfectly united in bringing to pass Heavenly Father’s divine plan of salvation.

See my earlier comment - I was not aware of this quote but it is spot on. My question therefore is ‘why do so many believers, the speaker in this video included, feel the need to convince non-believers that their deity exists?’ The first part of Aquinas’ statement would imply that believers who do that measure the validity of their religion by the standards of non-believers. The fact that non-believers do not believe in a deity simply should not matter to believers. Period. And if you think the second part of the statement is true, recurrent attempts by believers to convince non-believers to abandon their world view is even more confounding…

You are another piece of evidence to me that there is God and don't worry we all have a chance of or for salvation. Jesus Christ came to being and resurrect. Which means he will be with us and continue showing us mercy through others means we might always ignore. For those who do believe in God and of the same, please just continue this Civil discussion and respect each other's claim. This is from Willy L. of the land now called the Philippines, and we behold, Child Jesus returns to this Garden where the first man, created out of soil was put to dwell. We all know on the sixth days of Creation that human being was created "male and female" right away, according to text, God or Gods mentioned "... and now we will make human beings; they will be like US and resemble US" (proof to me of all the races we have in this very planet), but our ancestors were created first then a Garden of Eden was made for them. Just sad they were disobedient as we are today.

@Alex324

I suppose the contentiousness is derived from people living side by sude evrry day fundementally disagreeing on how the universe came into being. Further disagreements include those of what laws should apply. I, quite honestly, aleays fail to take true believers seriously as the notion that God should have come into being spontaniously is no more likely than that the universe did. Furthermore that His principles have not stood the test of time (gender roles for example) must surely disproves his omnipitence, as he must surely have been aware those millenia ago that the world wood change. But the bible does not account for this. Equally, you might argue this to be a point of contwntion with the church not God, to which i would reply that, if everyone is worshiping god wrong for fault of the church's misinterperetation, then even devoted christians must be doomed for hell. Idk tho.

I was an atheist before I hit a car with a motorcycle on September 11, 2002. There was no logical reason I am currently alive today. They called me a miracle. I went into a six week coma as one person and awoke as someone totally different. In the last 22 years I have experienced God in so many different ways. To keep this short, I will tell of the most significant experience. I had been on a long drive, and about 20 miles from home, I had a deep feeling someone else was in the truck I was driving. The feeling cannot be described using the American language as it was far too intense to do so. It was so pure and yet so raw, a love which permeated every cell of my body. I cried as one would expect, and I never wanted this drive to end. If I could bottle this feeling and just give you a small sample, there would be no such thing as an atheist. I am now a speaker on this subject and would love to share my story. If ever you wonder what heaven will feel like, I know. Give God a chance.

My oldest daughter passed away from complications of being a premie in 1967 and needing open heart surgery. My belief has promised that I will be with my Daughters again. I was in a middle of a miracle when I was 10, my dad was a drinker, smoker and never went to chuch, but when he listened to Kent Hovind. He later studied everything if the evolution theory is wrong, went to buy more books about evolution and creation. He gave his heart to the Lord after that. He also started to read the Bible(KJV), he always said that it is the most accurate and was written out of the dead sea scrolls. I saw a miracle again, there was a trail of fire on the mountains it grew longer, visible to the naked eye. It almost burned our houses when it came closer everyday and night. I cried and prayed because my mom did the same thing. They said on the weather news that there won't be any rain after two weeks. There was just smoke all around us. I prayed and prayed and then i felt a drop of water, the smoke became rain clouds. The trail of Fire started to extinguished, there was also one fireman helicopter in our town and it couldn't just be that for that size of fire. It rained. It was in my home country, South Africa that it happened. My dad geve up everything to believe in God, and you told me he isn't real. I saw a lot of miracles, maybe atheist never saw a miracle or blame God of something in the past. I don't want to argue so I rather pray for them than fight. I also chose a hard path like being a Conservationist yet other people like me try to prove He doesn't exist, God works in mysterious ways, I don't even understand it but I feel he saved me a bunch of times and I didn't even thanked him enough. He save everybody even my grandpa who gave is heart to the Lord and past away the week after, I know where he is now and I know where I go at least in the afterlife.

Literally in his first argument, he paints up a false dichotomy saying that either the universe must come from nothing, or God must have created it. The whole idea that a universe comes from "nothing" is not what science claims. Science only claims that there is a point beyond which we don't know what happened. In fact, Nothingness as a state might not even exist. We can't create a "nothing". We've never observed a "nothing." Now, I will grant that scientists like Krauss throw the word "nothing" around rather freely, probably because it makes a catchy book title, but it is not reflecting any scientific consensus.

The Universe is defined as everything that exists, so if God exists, he would be a part of the Universe too. So, what exactly was created if God is eternal? Secondly, lets assume that God created the created part of the Universe. Ok, so what? Even Richard Dawkins admitted that a case could be made for a Deistic God, prime mover, etc... Our SINS; including our unbelief and rebellion against Him have BROUGHT these things to us; because God says, "A curse WITHOUT CAUSE will NOT alight", or #2. We are going through something that; IF we go through it with a RIGHT and not SNOTTY attitude; we will find...maybe not right away...that there WAS or IS a purpose in it. ATTITUDE will determine MUCH of what we go through. WE can make this EASIER (Not easy; but easier); OR; we can make things unnecessarily MUCH HARDER. The choice is OURS. God is holy; He CANNOT do wrong; we are sinners; and can do very little BUT sin. The balance, or INBALANCE; between us...whose hearts are FILLED with anger; lust; perversion; addictions; murder; etc.. and a just, good; and holy God; who has no sin, couldn't be any clearer. Let's not TRY HARDER to do and BE wrong; but to do and be more right. The FIRST step is NOT rebelling against God. God loves you; He truly does; but if you treat Him as though He's bad or wrong; then THAT WILL BE what you EXPERIENCE. It's not what really is; but it's what you will create for yourself....what WE all create for ourselves.

This drink represents prayer, the spiritual water that lead us to eternal life. Holy Spirit is the master of prayer and He is often symbolized as a water. He invites you to pray! Don’t believe the lie that we are capable to struggle with our sinful nature and prevail. We need Christ because by his righteousness we are granted access to God’s presence once more but also it is his victory on the cross that destroys the sinful nature in our life. Our faith in Christ doesn’t mean we wont struggle with sin as we still live in a world corrupted by sin, but because of our new nature in Christ we can be empowered by the presence of God (Holy Spirit) to overcome, we must find peace in him. We remain on this earth after coming to know the truth by the very same mercy of God. It is by his mercy that he withholds judgement of the world to give all an opportunity to come to Him. He is unwilling that any would be lost. As Paul says it is our honor to suffer for the glory of God that in following the command of Christ we as the body can do our part in bringing the lost to know hope in him. I say these things with love! I struggled many years with what you are describing. There is hope, don’t stop pursuing God’s presence and truth, he will be made known to you in the depth of your being. Once that occurs nothing can rock you or remove you from his presence, only by his will and strength not your own.

God is like my eternally loving mother and is the mother of all living and non-living, whom I find scary and at the same time I feel grateful. You are only scared of mother when you do bad things, and if you are regretful and amend your mistakes then your mother will forgive or lessen your punishment.

@NoNo-jb7kj
@NoNo-jb7kj 8 ай бұрын
@@Panagiotis_Vlachosthe study of the Bible is called theology, and it is a science. People asked questions about the Bible and its accuracy, so it was studied to get answers. Answers found to be facts can be questioned, but that doesn’t change if they’re true or not. The Bible is a historical document that covers real events that actually happened, and it is studied as such by many Bible scholars who read the oldest found versions of the Bible in Hebrew and Greek to understand the original meaning. The Bible can be studied as a science, and it is, because people take the faith seriously. The whole “answers that can’t be questioned” thing is invalid in my opinion. If I ask the color of the sky and you say blue, I can question if it’s actually blue all day long but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s blue. Science gives us answers that can’t be questioned, like how it’s just objectively true that the circumference of a circle is 2pir. I can question that all day long but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s real. With God, what He says is true because He says it. He created the world with His words, if He said the sky is purple, it would be purple. His word can be questioned, but nothing comes of it. What He says is just what reality becomes, His promises are woven into creation. They can be questioned, as you are clearly questioning them, but you don’t gain anything. You act as though questions that can’t be answered are better, but it isn’t just black and white. That’s like saying, if you saw someone get resurrected instantly before your eyes, that “well just cause I can’t explain what happened doesn’t mean God is real. Id rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned!” Would you watch the laws of physics be broken right in front of you and still say there’s nothing supernatural and no creator? Normally you hear “well if God showed himself to me I would believe him” but you admit that you don’t know how the universe created itself from nothing, then you’ve seen his miracle with your own eyes. What’s more unbelievable, the whole world being created on its own with perfect conditions for life and conscious beings, or one man rising from the dead? The creation of the universe breaks the laws of conservation of energy and the of conservation of mass, so I’d say the universe being created is more unbelievable, but I’m sure if you saw a dead man walk you would believe in God. You see the result of a much bigger miracle every day. You are living in a bigger miracle than the one you’re looking for.

Genuine question (I am completely uneducated on Christianity): God created the universe. His explanation is that the universe couldn't have created the universe because that just doesn't make sense (correct me if I'm wrong), so it must have been some higher entity, aka God. Like I said, I am genuinely curious to know if there is an answer for this.

The biggest question all atheists typically ask is this: who created God? The simple answer is: God was not created, simply because God is the Creator not the creation and he is out of time-space continuum. It is like looking for Leonardo da Vinci in the Mona Lisa painting. You can admire his painting and understand his genius through his painting strokes but cannot look for the painter in the painting itself. So is with God. He created the Universe to perfection. We can admire it, study it through sciences but we cannot look for God in the Universe. All we can see is his strokes. He is out of it and out of time and space dimensions and the laws of Universe which he created in order for the Universe to run in equilibrium. @@machammer7454

I can say from personal experience that Jesus Christ is alive and has revealed himself to me through miracles that are tangible and non-disputable. Yet I know for sure that even that will not be enough and you will still not believe me. So do not waste your time if your modus operandi is to simply mock believers and call them childish. And I have done this on more than one occasion. Note, I am not an atheist. God is real.. Im simply saying the ontological premise of Lennoxes argument is weak.. Miracles DO exist. Therefore no "rules" or "laws" are followed . Laws and Rules are merely "mental habbits"... But whos "mental habbit"?... Thats where it gets confusing........if God is truly God...God must=THE ALL... And this means OUR thoughts are simultaneously GODS thoughts.. Our own THOUGHTS and repetition compulsions SLOW and CONDENSE matter to a slow vibration of material CLOCKWORK laws.. Test the BOUNDARIES of your own thoughts, habbits and compulsions......and miracles begin to happen... Carl Jung discovered this with "SYNCHRONICITY" and "catalytic exteriorisation phenomenon"

I needed a hardly laugh today, thank you😂 He's an excellent speaker and I'm sure, a very lovely gentleman....not much destroying going on though. If confirmation bias is what you seek, this will be excellent...but there are phenomenal answers and arguments to everything said here, that require no emotion or faith. And the Christian morality argument literally had me laughing out loud🤣 Forgive the apparent snark of my comments...I was a christian for 42 years, deep in it my entire life. Completely unwavering, no doubts/questions...I knew all the answers and explanations and BELIEVED them to my core (in fact, tattoos to help spread the message of Jesus and start conversations)! Nothing happened, no deaths, traumas...didn't want an excuse to sin or any of the other terribly silly reasons Christians (including myself previously) had been taught are why. I was completely content in my faith. For the vast majority of people who go through religious deconstruction, it's starts with one thread, one quest...and eventually it all unravels. I went through months and months of agony, sobing and crying out to god to give me something, anything to pull be back and turn my course back into his arms. Welp, here I am a couple of years (and an immense amount of much deeper biblical/historical knowledge) down the road and no one in my very sincerely Christian, genuinely wonderful family has a clue. I honestly kept waiting for my mother to get some kind of holy spirit bat signal that I was in trouble spiritual...she still has no clue and I haven't felt it necessary to tell her. I know all the lines, I know all the answers and I regret all the things I've thought and said to others who left Christianity in the past...I was so off base and I'm sure most of you will think the same things I used to. Reading this, I would have felt incredible sadness for the writer of this and would have prayed for them...but rest assured, I'm happier and feel more whole as a person than at any point previously in my life. And for the record, I do still watch these videos that profess to offer the best, most brilliant arguments for god with an open mind...pull the thread and never be afraid to follow the truth, no matter where it may lead. God's big enough to handle it, right🤷‍♂️ Paulogia and Holy Koolaid are a couple of excellent channels to challenge you and they're both former evangelical Christians like myself.

Thats what you will be suffering eternally, removed from God for eternity, without the Holy Spirit for eternity, BECAUSE ONE'S SPIRIT LIVES ON FOREVER BECAUSE IT IS FROM GOD WHEN HE BLOWS LIFE INTO US AT BIRTH! The Spirit of man lives on forever; as it is written, "terrible is it to fall in the hands of the living God." It is also written that if one has once come to the Truth and been a believer and one leaves and rejects Jesus " it is impossible for such to come to back again. Any rational thinking person would immediately recognize the absurdity of such a conclusion. Yet, atheists are just like this "experienced" Detective so-called. I am an antitheist Atheist ⚛️ I do not believe in the existence of God. There is no testable evidence to support the belief in any gods or supernatural entities. I rely on science, reason, logic, and empirical evidence to form my worldview and have not found compelling evidence or arguments to support the existence of God. The universe is governed by natural laws and forces, rather than moral, spiritual, or supernatural ones. As an atheist, I reject religious dogma, supernaturalism, and superstition as the basis of morality and decision-making. I emphasize the social and empirical nature of inquiry and prioritize scientific solutions to intellectual problems. There is an intrinsic intellectual conflict between faith and science, and that it inevitably leads to hostility. I am engaged in a continually evolving search for truth, primarily through science and philosophy.
