Actually, the minivan that packed 244 horsepower was the Honda Odyssey sold from 2005-2010. The newest model, the 2020 one, packs 288 horsepower, and still has the 3.5 liter V6 engine.

The Renault Espace is an MPV, not a minivan. Minivans have sliding doors and MPVs have normal sedan doors.

Niko Kourouklis actually it's considered a cross over. It does have car like doors but it has a longer wheelbase that matches a minivan. So compare apples to oranges the space for cargo really decides if it should be a van or a large car. That being said half the vehicles on here were actually just station wagons with a box body tailgate on them anyway so the title to this video is really full of shit either way you slice it so at least the Espace was close. I only counted two actual true vans on the whole video and had to go Espace the wheelbase bonus points to at least confer it a little over half accurate.

My parents have an S-Max with the 2,5t engine (or T5 as Volvo called it, they made it). I learned to drive in it. Feels way smaller than it is, corners great, engine and transmission are fantastic. Suspension is a bit too stiff though, and fuel economy is pretty bad. Having it is a love-hate relationship: the reliability is absolutely horrible and makes you furious at times but once you find a decent road it's great fun and you start to forgive it. The day we sell it will be an emotional one...

At a traffic light what matters most is horsepower per pound of car or truck. I have a 4 cylinder 16V Geo Tracker that can beat most cars or trucks from a dead stop. I love it when a guy in a jacked up Ford F150 or some other large truck pulls up besides me and starts revving his engine. Before he can even step on the gas pedal my 4 banger is already way ahead. Of course, some trucks will eventually pass me by, but many just turn off to a side road in embarrassment.

The Chevy Astro. Sure, it's a pretty frumpy machine stock, but it shared numerous components with the S-10 and can be made into something truly awesome. AWD Astros used the same transfer box as the Syclone and Typhoon, and the engine from these trucks can fit right in. With a little work, it can also fit a standard Gen 1 Chevy Small Block fairly easily. If you ever wanted to embarrass sports cars with a sleeper van, the Astro is a good starting point. I've heard about V8 AWD Astros destroying cars far more expensive, though they get terrible fuel economy.

What? It looks like a 2000s-era minivan dressed up in some tacky plastic factory 'performance parts'. You can see right through them and it looks like a minivan in drag. Ugly as hell, and its not a 'sleeper' like he calls it. If it was a 'sleeper' they would have made it look like a normal Vauxall minivan and added the performance parts under it. Right now its about 90% loud, obnoxious 'sporty' exterior mods and 10% actual performance mods. Stiffer springs? great, so now my minivan wont even be comfy. And the same engine that powers another one of their so-called 'sporty' cars? Great, except that car weighs about 1,000lbs (500kg) less!

My family has a Sienna. They aren't bad, but I wouldn't say it stands a chance against a sports car. It has a good amount of power to comfortably drive on busy roads, but not for drag racing.
