Thank you for the feedback on this vid, everyone. I understand this felt a bit rushed and dumbed down. I wanted to make this a quick & easy tutorial, but I realize I skipped over a lot of nuance. I also now realize teasing the project files on Patreon could have felt like gatekeeping for profit. Tooootally not my intention. 😽😽😻😻😁😁😁🤥🤥🤥 (nah but im fr tho) To make up for it, I've refunded all new Patreon members who signed up since the video went up. The project files are now available for FREE on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/posts/hypnotic-techno-120219069 I'll hold myself to a higher standard. Appreciate you all.

Absolutely no need to apologise. You will find your videos will all come with different angles and takes. People will maybe take them in a way that you hadn’t intended. It’s no big deal. Keep making videos and don’t worry

Got some hate for this, but I think people missed the point here by tying their ego to their musical taste. The point here being that there are certain patterns and things that you can use to create Hypnotic Techno. This is just the first step, guys. He's not saying this track is already gonna be the end all be all of Techno. It's the first step. You could add millions on things on top of this. Compare this to the minimum requirement to create a Baroque piece, or something like Brahms and or Shostakovitch, or even Jazz. Honestly, guys. Concerning Operator, honestly, most of the masterclasses I've seen of Hypnotic Techno use Operator for a f ton of things. So yeah. At least I understood the point of the video. Thank you. Great stuff, brother, as always.

Hey brother. I get why all this people is getting mad at it. But i think is just a misunderstanding. This is a 5 min video.. its just an idea of where this can go. But yeah.. for sure its not the easiest genre. You can go really deep if you want some cool and original sounds. And there is so much more to make it better. But i got your point and i think you are a good producer and give some nice tips. So dont let this down you and keep it up 🤙🏻

Some of the best producers use operator. You dont need 150 dollar synths to make a banger for every track. If you think you do im quite sad for you wallet.

@@johnjamesjeremiahherer Bruh, why do yall think im talking shit about Operator?? I thought it was funny because of the sounds he made with his mouth before he opened up operator, played a bunch of notes and it sounded almost the same.. Thats why I thought it was funny. FOH

Don't let the hate effect you man. Everybody knows its not easy to make any kind of music at all. You are here to inspire and share some ideas. I think you should ban them eventhough you shouldn't care. They are just jobless losers that think they can degrade you on internet. Music only comes with love and appreciation. I quit music myself but techno making me feel really good and your channel time to time makes me open ableton and just have fun with it. I would love to see you do live streams. Keep it up! much love x

Come on buddy, you can't be serious 😂 if that's a techno banger I'm done. Also try to go a bit farther than just the usual 8 bars🤷🏻‍♂️

And he stops when the track is barely started and basically just says "and then make the rest of the track" and skips to an end product where a bunch of other shit has been added in. Doesn't even really count as a tutorial, does it?

If you want to get teached to do music go to your ableton project and spend some hours rather than being harsh on someone over a video 😁

yeah here you are hating for nothing ahaha. OK MARK you are the most inspired and the coolest producer. Why dont you find yourself to do something rather than degrading someone who actually tries something. You joke.

Definitely have to agree to all the critique man. Not only do I feel personally attacked lol but also I don't want young producers to feel scammed. On the surface, it's super easy to get some cool rhythms from a sequencer, basic drums and boom, it sounds like something. But really processing low end to get it super glued together and punchy? Getting interesting and irregular hihats and drums? Working on Sound Atmosphere? Getting a lead that isn't just a bleepy sine wave but something complex yet minimalistic? There is so much more to it. Would appreciate some more Sound Designs Tutorials, e.g. on making leads like KUSS or Sicion :))
