i have a producer/mixer question...i have a mix which i'm pretty happy with but there is one section with a filter progression, just eqing out a lot of high and some low end, typical french house effect...and in that filter progression i get some nasty sounding frequencies....how can i solve this problem? ...right now only possible solution i'm thinking of is an on/off automation for an extra instance of soothe 2, just for that section

I know the Vengenance Essentials House packs are pretty good overall, not just for techno but dance music in general. And I think TKNVLT has some free sample packs specifically for Hard Techno as well. Though, you can get VERY far with the basic 909 kicks and some saturation

using the vocoder with noise is kinda cheating though. Because the sound source is no longer the fart, it is noise. And in theory you can derive any frequency from white noise.

thats pretty arbitrary. imo the whole point is that you can derive just about any sound from any other sound if you just process it enough, but sure: bonus points if you manage to do it the hard way
